Thank you for the replies, guys! Yes, my room is my "get away from it all" place. Many times I will go down there, turn on some music and just look through one or two kits. I don't have to build a plastic model when I'm down there to enjoy myself. I build the metal models from Fascinations. They are a nice one or two evening break from plastic model kits.
I have been in the hobby for a long time so I tend to get lots of model related gifts. Birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, Boss' Day, etc. Models, gift cards and so on. I also attend a lot of shows and am always on the hunt for a kit I don't have or a kit I did not know existed. It really isn't too hard to get a big collection.

You guys have really nice work areas, I see some things i might have to incorporate into my shop. I converted a 2nd floor bedroom for my shop. I wanted to be able to look out a window and have a decent amount of sunlight coming in. I really need to find some better shelving, buts its not bad for just using what i had around the house Im pretty proud of the paint booth i built, used a 450ish cfm dayton blower i bought on eBay. Someone was recommending the next model down around 230 cfm, but i got a good deal on this one. I kinda wish i would have gone a step higher because the airflow feels weak. If i do a continuous spray the blower has a hard time keeping up. I removed a baffle I had over the blower and peg board I was using to disperse the vacuum. The printer box is my drying booth with a lamp on top. I've been doing some remodeling around the house and as it is, I have no plumbing or water to the 2nd floor of the house.....I also don't have any stairs =( So anything I bring up has to carried up by ladder, including the water...and that paint booth i built...most everything else was already up there for storage. The Tubs are various water solutions and paint strippers, I have one with 91% alcohol, Superclean, one with soapy water, one with clean water, and the big one is the one i use to sand. It has a water pump and a hose that will act like a faucet. This is just a different view of my work/hang out area closer shot of the paint booth, there are actually 2 lights, one is an LED bar light on the inside which produces 1400 lumens of lights, Its really freaking bright, However I found i needed a much more harsh and focused light to see the dry spots while painting. Im also still working on the air hose routing So thats my place, Its not as nice as a lot of yours, but i don't build nearly as much as you guys. Have a good Holiday everyone!

Nice isn't near as important as functional and your area is certainly very functional. Great job utilizing what you have. My area isn't as nice as yours but I get models built with it. And that's what counts. I admire the paint booth setup and the dryer. I have a new Paasche air brush with all the trimmings and my wife bought me a new booth with exhaust and all I really want to use but I have no place to set it up. I am working on that though. I would be very happy with a setup like you have.

I would be very happy with a setup like you have. It was pretty easy to build, not to expensive either. Most of it was 1x2 square pine, the legs were 2x2 pine, the upper box was just solid pegboard material glued on, and the lower box was some that layered plywood, also added a shelf midway to the bottom to strengthen the legs, the supports for that shelf were put on top to act as walls and it was screwed from underneath. I really wish i would have taken build pics though.

Seeing all you folks nice tidy areas is putting mine to shame. This is the work area. and the rest of the space in the room is also taken up. I have tried keeping my work area clean but it just doesn't work for me, lol.

Well riddle me this Batman, how come not matter how much surface area we have to build, we all work in a 6"x6" square area? even then, we have to slide parts over to work.
I just revamped my area layout, now I just have to lay out all the parts bins for optimal use.

Thanks, Im getting close to having everything the way i want it, I need to figure out how to get a little more shelving space close to my desk, but i dont have anymore useful furniture to use anymore=( I might look into adding another drawer to my desk, I have a spare set of sliders lying around somewhere.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it. I'm pretty proud of it all. Collection is only a third of what I have. The wall on my right is all full of kits. I felt I needed more room so I got me another bench....and more peg board space......and a tv.....and of course more kits. Hehe!
No trees in my yard, unfortunately..but the neighbor has a couple. Lol
