Ha, thanks Frank!
CC, the stand up bench area is supposed to be a train layout. I got as far as building about half the bench work and gave up till a later time lol.

Makes sense
But for me, a stand up bench might be just what the doctor ordered, give a new perspective on builds from time to time - lord knows I am in the midst of "Plastic Block" LOL

John, the plan is build a N scale layout and I have plenty of track and trains to do it lol. I also have some HO scale stuff, but it takes up too much room for my taste.

Jesse, you EVER NEED ANY N scale, toss a PM out...... you have no idea man, actually, none of you do.... my "stock room" has yet to be revealed! shhhhh-smiley-emoticon
I got 10 boxes of N scale cork roadbed RIGHT NOW, probably as much flex track (I'll have to look on the track part of that I know I once did) I bet I got 275 cars and something like 50 engines.....HO scale......... DON'T ask! I got something stupid like 1000 locomotives steam and diesel, and GAWD 5000 cars......... BUT I been collecting HO my whole life! I about 3 years ago started collecting a little N scale. Need any power packs?

Frank, Room? CRAP G scale trains you put in the freakin YARD outside! (I have a few pieces of G scale.) And I'd LOVE to have a BIG ole Yellowstone steamer but, I'd need a damned garage to keep him in. Be damn near 6 feet long! jaw-dropping-smiley-emoticon

doh, wrong forum, but this is where I build at my mothers house. I am here most of the time (5 weeks off in last 2 years in total)due to looking after my grandmother and mother but I ain't allowed to spray here, you'd think she was worried about the carpets, lol, so I paint in the shower of my own flat. Just lots of sugar soap on the showers walls and base and an old screen to keep worst of it in but it works well and has an extractor and heat.

I had to clean up the bench to prepare for the next project. Parts were starting to get lost already.

I should've have taken pics of how it was before. There were parts from at least 4 kits on there, wheels and tires from test stances from those 4, sanding sponges and sticks everywhere, toothpicks with dried up glue, glued to the bench mind you and all my resin stuff was there, apparently leaking. So I moved the resin to the floor hung up the tires or some anyways til I get more pegs, and scooted my paint rack over almost 12 inches. Once I start on the next build we'll be back to that in no time.
I think I would've been ok until the wife decided to sand an old sewing machine cabinet and I had saw dust everywhere.. Grrrrrr. Can't complain too much. She's gotta have her projects too.
And Dennis, yes. I am showing off a little bit. Lol. I'm proud of my work bench! Lol

Looks great Ice - still working on re-organizing mine. Cannot do much until the week of vacation for Christmas - once the company is OUT OF THE HOUSE, running-around-smiley-emoticon, I will be able to finally put back together my work area, and I am expanding! I need more room, gotta finish that bugger Nova - start others, etc-etc-etc
But for sure, looks like an awesome area you have there Ice

You should be proud of it. It's set up very well. I clean mine after each build but it sure doesn't take long before you can't see the table again.

I got to say, thats one I GOT to do more often. clean UP after EACH build. Its a bad habit not too, BUT its not difficult to fall into either!!!!!
I just "cleaned" up a bit of mine still a partial mess but somewhat organized again....will NEVER be completely clean....Not with it being a shop floor bench thats always being used....

Aaaaahhhh....the brief sanity that comes from a clean and organized work bench. Reminds me, I need to do that with mine and get to work on my builds. Been over two weeks since I have been able to even get time to sit at it. I'm starting to show withdrawal symptoms. big-drooling-smiley-emoticon

I'm working on gettn' to it Hemi. Life seems to get in the way of my agendas. Finally got a nice quiet Saturday all to myself, so I'm catching up with my model buddies here on JC and then later today and evening is some bench time. That's my plan anyway.

Hey guys. So the opposite side of my garage is finally empty. We had a garage sale last weekend and immediately started putting up my display cases. The three shelves will be the middle of the display. They were being used by my daughter in out old house for her stuffed animals. She said she was tool old for them and didn't want them anymore. So I sanded them, painted them black and set them up. This will work for my taller builds and mini dioramas. I added clear acrylic sheets on the side and will put one in the front to keep the dust out. But it's coming together.
