Man you guys are all working hard on this one. I can tell. At least half of you posted your threads today. Awesome! Been pretty excited about this one. Went from a 62 Chrysler 300 to a 64 Chevy fleet side pickup, and finally decided on this one. I've been wanting to build this kit for a while and what better opportunity than now. I have some plans for this one and want to test some painting techniques. We'll see now that goes. Here are the first pics.

Can't wait to see what you do with this one! I remember a friend of my dad had one of these. His was a converible and as best I can remember his had a 421 with tri power and a 4 spd. I remember that he drove it until the mid 80's when he bought a Cadillac. He'd leave the caddy out in the rain and park his Catalina under the car port! Sorry to ramble.....

Awesome! Can't wait to see your build of this. I have a version of this one in my stash and sort of contemplated using it for this contest.

So much encouragement from everyone! I'd been jealous all this time with you all working on your cars and I couldn't get to mine lol. Finally got around to putting a little work in this one. This will be a custom....big surprise I know. Hehe. Worked on the height of the car. First mockup. Also took all the shiny off the car. Surprisingly, hardly any flash, and no body lines to fix, except on the tip of the hood. Here are the before and after pics.

Thank you guys. I'll post pics of the chassis when I get home today. As for paint, not sure yet. Two tone for sure just not locked on the specific paint scheme yet or colors. I'm trying to stay away from painting the body til the end. A big challenge for me but so far so good. I am however going to primer the body tonight. Lol.

Mmmmmmmmmmm! Orange-a-licious! I love your color choice. I think it's going to rock on this body style. Of course orange is one of my favorite colors, so my opinion may be biased.
