More progress tonight. This is the grille and bumper that is going on. I think they may be mopar parts but no idea what from as they were in a box of random chrome pieces.
The trans tunnel is now fitted, but when I was trimming it to fit I misjudged a cut so had to add a little extra plastic to the sides. I used 2mm half round, with the round edge facing in to do this, followed by superglue and baking soda.
I dismantled the interior tub as well, and boy was it well stuck. I wont be doing any trimming to the anywhere other than the wheelarch area, as it can just be mounted lower down. The back edge will need cutting though but probably not by much, and the rear of the tub will hopefully just need to be leaned forward a little, the same as the back of the body. Hard to see from the pic but this is it just taped in the lower position to see if it would work.
I have also trimmed the bottom of the bulkhead to allow the body to sit level on the chassis. I will have to file a little on the hole for the steering column but it wont be much. I still have to trim the bottom of the inner wings as I neglected to think about them.
Next job is to get the parts for the roof cut so I can get the back edge of the interior and body cut to fit. I wont be fitting it yet though as it's easier to work on the interior without the roof on. Once I get The interior parts all cut/ and their position on the floor marked I will be able to fit the roof and get the little filler needed on. Then it will be back in the box until the truck is finished as I think I'm a bit ahead on this just now.
