Managed to spill superglue on one of my rear tyres, doh! Now what could be hidden under the hood?..... Do you want a little peek? Yeah, ok then here goes..... It's an alfa romeo full race hemi V6, which in this spec is supposed to be around 450 hp and should be 4x4 but I removed the front drive shafts otherwise half the engine would be hanging out of the grille. This is why the transmission tunnel had to be so big, the alfa gearbox is nearly big rig size

Looking good Les! I guess I missed this build till now. Curious, does the '60 hood fit the '65 cowl and fenders properly?

Yeah, it actually fit's better than the 65 hood does, but I only used it as it's better moulded. I prefer the 65 hood but revell have it as a 4 piece part when the amt 60 hood is 2 piece so it's less filling and no indicators where it needs filled. Probably going for the 65 grille though as I prefer the single lights

If that's the final stance... YOU WIN!! I can't go any lower mate.... That strip will help tie everything in together i think, looks good..

I wish that was the final stance, unfortunately the rear wheels mean it will be a little taller since they are resting on the inner arches already and I cant raise the bed floor anymore

I managed to get the primer on today. Need to figure out a colour now, though I am leaning towards light blue with a white top, and I might try some lace work in pale gold on the roof. Hoping to do more on the chassis later if the paint is hard enough, if not I'll get more of the bug's body work done

The chassis is now chrome and the floor is flocked in blue. I made a mistake with the flocking though, it is even but because the blue I used is lighter it's come out a little patchy.

It's foiled now. Still need to paint the roof, tailgate and interior door panels but the snow has put that on hold. Hoping to get the glass in tonight and a chunk of the suspension fitted, then it's on hold until the bits are sprayed. need to clean the polish out of the shut lines but there's another polish to do yet

Awesome work man - smileyCA9464IN_zpsd9ee499f That depends where the ticket is to, I hear hawaii is nice, lol. The foil took me way too long, like 12 hours cos I kept messing it up. the back door handles alone took multiple attempts to get to where I was satisfied with it and the bed ended up getting the strips unfoiled half way through as I should have fitted it after painting and foiling so just couldn't get into the corners

From across the pond, where I sit, it looks great bud! And the ticket would be to Oklahoma - we are supposed to get up to 80 this Friday - cool nights, warm days - perfect beer guzzling, model foiling weather! Or maybe that should be, model foiling - THEN beer guzzling weather!! LOL

That turned out a real treat mate, great BMF work... two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon I find I foil better with a couple of beers too, you tend to "flow" better with the scalpel which makes for a more even line..... that's my excuse....sorry, theory anyway...

Thanks guys, I got the glass in tonight and realised I need to do some more trimming on the interior. When I joined the two cabs I didn't try the door panels so now I have to trim the front ones as they are too long now, but strangely the back ones still line up ok, even though the doors were shortened. Another thing that seems strange to me is that even with the body drop/channel, the door panels are still the right height. It's got me a wee bit confused how their ok height wise, lol

The more you get into choppin' stuff up mate, you will find a lot of things just don't make sense, i have cut way too much off things because that is how it should have been done, only to find the relevant laws don't apply to what we do...... If you can train those fairy's, i'll take 2 please....

Got a little question about the driveshaft on this, would this have a split driveshaft like on a semi or a one piece like on a car? and if it's split would it have some sort of support/bearing where the 2 join?
