I'm going to go for this. Thinking to stick a hemi in it and possibly to give it a few custom touches such as ribbed bumpers, a chop and skirts. Hopefully the cat won't offer any more help.

Nice choice. So many different ways to go with this. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Nice choice mate, just threaten "cat skin" seat covers, that will keep it away from the build i reckon.

Cool choice!! And hey, if the cat keeps a buggin, just a "snip" of hair, and you could make one of those cat tails to hang off the antenna!! LOL

Made quite a lot of progress today. decided against the kit suspension and have gone for the suspension from a 57 chevy kit. I'm using the heemi from the lindberg general lee and will be looking through my kits for some induction to use instead of the stock carb and airfilter. I'm going to use the general lee seats too, and will be adding a roll bar to the interior There's also another much bigger mod but I'm going to keep it to myself until the roof gets chopped later today

Lots more progress today. Got the chop cut and back on. I followed the tutorial and it went very smoothly with no problems, and I have a question for you all. If I finish the chop of like the matranga merc will it rule me out of being a hot rod? I was originally going for a salt flats style but now I think I should finish it as a custom. I'm also thinking to find a better chassis in one of my other kits as this one lets down the body I feel. This is how it was when I started. notice the engine is already above the fenders This is about half way through the chop, Much easier than I thought it would be, especially with the curve of the roof. And this is how I left it tonight. Should I put stock style door pillars and window back or go pillarless? And a final picture with the stock hood. Just a little bit lower than stock now. I put it next my green roadster and at ride height it level with the doortops. Might have got a little carried away on the cutting but some of it is from the 6mm section taken from the bottom edge of the body all the way around.

Started on the interior againtoday. Now it's more custom than rod the plain door panels and seats looked out of place, so I am replacing the whole lot other than a little of the tub for the one from a camero. Should have some more pics later

A bit more progress tonight. Have removed the headrests from the camero front seats to make them look more custom style. And have also removed the sides of the interior tub ready to fit the ones from the camero. And from the shape of the removed part next to the camero side panel it looks like it should work quite well.

THIS IS COMING ALONG AS ONE INCREDIBLE CUSTOM MATE, That hood looks spot on, and sweet job on the head rests, just hope they don't hit the roof now.

Lots more progress today. I have made some fender skirts for the rear from a pair of model plane wings I had lying about. I have also got the interior ready for a final coat of paint and made a new dash as the original was a bit odd looking. Finally I repaired some areas where the rear fenders fit, as I had taken too much away when trimming. I think this is the final mock up now and it's in to filler tonight. The fender skirt part way through and unstarted. The new dash before and after adding gauges from a 55? chevy. The repaired rear fender mounts. And the final test fit before filler.

MATE!!!! That is one beautiful custom body, everything you have done to it is just RIGHT!! The best advice i can give you is please take your time filling and sanding, re-filling, and more sanding, don't rush it, if you do take your time with this process, this will end up a MASTERPIECE, as all the mods you have done are just superb. Everything about it screams WINNER!!!
