70 Boss 302

Soo... Chassis is done...Brake lines/fuel lines and E brake cables are in place. Still have to make a drive shaft for this and get the rear shocks mounted. Had to shorten the front portion of the leaf springs, to get the rear axle centered in the wheel openings This may cause the kit D/S (which is junk) to be too long. Don't want Dave to have problems assembling this stuff soo. I will make an aluminum tube D/S that telescopes so he can adjust its length accordingly in final assembly.
Lowered the front spindles to drop the ride height in front. (These Boss cars didn't sit high like dump trucks)Its a subtle drop but it does make a significant difference in the cars stance/appearance. Did the overspray on the chassis and tried to confine it to what I had since I don't have the floor pan. This way Dave wont have to worry about putting overspray on the floor pan. He just has to match the Oxide red primer... Did the black paint, dusted on the front portion of the chassis like the factory did. You see, the engine compartment got painted black along with the wheel side of the frt fender aprons on the assembly line, after the cars were painted. What ever paint found its way onto the lower frame rails and such was all it got. Hence the oxide red showing through on a lot of this chassis up front.
Body is ready for Grabber blue. Blacked out the eng compartment and put Oxide red where it needs to be. Also Got the wheels/tires done. Put some valve stems on the rims and Firestone lettering on the tires and flat cleared them. I am almost finished here and looking forward to final paint on the body as I am sure you all are as well.
