Made some progress this weekend...Masked and shot the rear deck/trim blackout paint work. Then got it all ready for the Grabber blue...    Next up...Lots of blue and some decals... |

Ok Stripes are fixed. I'm not totally happy with em but... Short of stripping it all and starting over with more junk decals..  It will workout fine. Had to clear it all first so I could lay tape over em. Shot some flat black lacquer on the hood...Then cleared it...Had to lay that thin stripe by hand at the back of the hood and on the body sides (Sorry about the blurry pic) Gotta wet sand it all now and lay some more clear to get it looking right.    After that it will all get cut and buffed out...Then it will get shipped out to Dave for final assembly. Stay tuned gang!! It aint over yet... |

Thanks Dave...You can still see a faint line where the decals end up the middle. Could only sand it flat so much, didn't want to cut into the decal while sanding. Flippin things still managed to lift along the hood peaks contour where it flows into the rest of the hood...  Had to poke holes in it and make it lay down...Again...Hopefully it stays put after the next round of clear coat...That was supposed to happen tonight...May give it another day or two to be safe. We shall see. Got any interior pics for us yet!?... |

OK...Its Got clear coat on it. Gonna let it dry, wet sand it and see how it looks. If I like it, I'll buff it out, chrome foil it, snap a few pics and get it finished up and in the mail!!!  If not...  |

Thanks Joe!! I appreciate that!! I'm still not happy with the quality of the decals. They put a dusting of clear paint on em to seal em. Literally made em look ...Dusty... Like 100 grit sandpaper.. Had to bury em in clear and still, They look like ass (sorry had to say it) Overall it looks good though and pictures hide a world of sins...LOL...I'm a sinner from waayy back!! |

Paint update!! Its cut and buffed, looks pretty good, still gotta cut/buff the hood though. Decals are..well see above post. Time for chrome foil and a few details and its off to Dave for final assembly.    A few minor paint touchups too and it will be good to go!! Stay tuned. The last installment will be coming up soon!!! |

This is one of those times where simplification is the best bet Joe. Kit carb, permanently mounted air filter assy. Some rudimentary carb details and call it good. Don't want Dave to have to try and re-assemble anything that may come off in transit. I know that goes against every fiber of your being Joe...LOL...That's my two pennies though.

OK Last post for me on this build!! Finished up my work today on this Bad Bad Boss!! Next time you see it will be after Dave finishes putting it all together!!! Feast you eyes gang! Finished the headliner/filler panel for the roof/glass. Put a pair of shoulder belts up there too. Got the tail panel installed with all its jewelry attached. Got the grill and front bumper mounted too...    Enjoy!!! |
