Enjoy the pics more to come later... Those are pretty much where it is now.. has been many many obstacles to contend with during the build but it is fun ,although extremely trying.. Any comments , suggestions , or just plain chit chat -- are Very Welcomed...

Hi All.. Thought i would send a couple more pics of the 442 Wagon. Ist is the 67 Chevelle that gave up its roof for the project. 2nd a el Camino that gave up its bed floor, wheel houses, and tailgate . 3rd Total redesign of the Orig Bumper. 4th ( French ing) in the rear tail lights. The color you see in the previous pic,s is a ( blushed out ) Burgandy which is going to be the final color with a Off White interior. I also am using the 66 442 Tri Power set up and going to add AC with all wiring and plumbing etc etc.. Also thrown in is a pic of the 442 body, upon cutting it at start of project. Not sure if posted pics show it but it has a rather large Sun Roof thrown into the mixture and an Operating Tail Gate... Enjoy Tom

Hi All, A little update on the 442 Wagon. Have been having a real rough time with the back end making the tail lights bumper and gate, to look the way I want..Spent much much much time on their - is coming along -- but decided to work on the Gate.. Added round stock and some flat sheet stock to give it some , curvature / body contour .. Let me know what you all think... Tom

Hi to All.. Just a small update on the wagon..Have not done a lot lately but here is a little progress.. Have done some more work on the Tailgate..The Orig Model had the rear bumper-taillight housings-and a script than ran from one side to the other ( actually on the deck lid ) that was blackened out in the center with the word OLDSMOBILE in the center of the molding that were chrome letters -- all attached together.. Needless to say I cut apart all of it and decided to try and use the Oldsmobile Script/Molding on the tailgate .. Hence a pic of the new Molding /script attached to the Gate.. Also tried to capture a pic of the gate part way down showing the Glass.. Enjoy.. Any Comments Suggestions or chit chat are strongly encouraged.... Thanks Much Tom

Thought I would add a Quick shot of the motor---not done but moving along.. Will probably redo headers with solder to make look as though alumina -coated.. Thanks Tom

Hi All , Have not been at the bench in a while ( some times life interferes ). Have started back on the wagon basically on the interior portion that shows when the Gate is down , trying to make a little interior jamb modification.. Also have spent a lot of time just looking at it..A thought that i have not been able to-get out of my mind , is the Vista Cruiser Roof ( raised sections with glass sides and front glass ) What do you all think of that ?? I could leave it the elongated sun roof-- possibly dual sun roof's -- or Vista roof.. Yes I guess i am a glutton for punishment , even considering a roof change at this stage of the game..Here is a moch up pick--really like the orig back part of roof so would some how have to incorporate the raised part to keep that look.. Any Opinions as to what path to follow ? Thanks Tom

Hi All, Have been in a slump for a little while, but recently started back on the project basically started wet blocking the body and doing some touch-ups that were needed on some of the body work . I did decide however Not to do the Vista Roof---would leave that for another project.. Have also moved on to the front of the car with changes I had originally planed for it..First off is the Hood..The original Hood had the center section (where the louvers are ) recessed. I made it raised instead, pics to follow.. The question I have is this---Should I place the Louvers on top of the newly raised section or ( as shown in pics ) raise the entire section (i cut from the Hood) that holds the louvers..Any feed back on that would be eagerly awaited as I am not sure which way to go yet.. Second change for the front end is in the Bumper/Grill Area--although am still in planning stages for that, trying to finalize my idea.. Anyway ,, thanks to all... Inc are a couple of pic,s as i mentioned earlier..

Hey thanks Beast. May have to really think about that wagon bracket race , if it isn't too soon next year... Whats you thoughts on the Hood ? Should I leave the center section just raised as in pic one or add another small raise with louvers still on - as pic two.. Thanks Tom

Think I need a little more work on the very front--seams a little fat from tip of hood to top of raised area..Thought of the louvers because they were Original Equipment on the 67 442 and kind of wanted to incorporate into new hood design, but am liking the no louver look.. Needed to be primed for me to see it better..
Thanks All Tom

Hey Guys A quick update on the 67 442 Wagon.. Re blocked the Hood like I mentioned before , had some good time on the bench today so I blocked the whole car and re-primed.. Should be the last one before wet sand before Paint. Now I can move on to other parts of the build ( finally) Still have a lot to do with the new motor and headers. At least I am moving along after what seems like forever without accomplishing anything.. Here is a couple pic,.. Thanks All Tom
