Definitely! Wow! I think he's a repeat offender. He has built. Kits for over $400 too. I don't think his sales are as high as his prices. Do you guys think these prices are fair??

At least his auctions have free shipping lol. In my opinion his "pro" built kits don't look like they're worth what he wants for a starting bid. I have a hard time paying $30 for a kit and would never pay $600. I just bought a 1:1 s10 for $300 last Friday and have been driving it everyday since lol.

www.ebay.com/itm/1959-DODGE-CUSTOM-ROYAL-LANCER-CONVERTIBLE-1-25-PRO-BUILT-/390682215337?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item5af67983a9Hey you guys ain't gunna believe this. I emailed this Budrose guy and asked him if I could come see a model just for kicks since he's in Huntington beach. Oh MY WORD this guys house is amazing packed full of kits and built models in nice display cases. H's gotta have over 3000 kits and builds. Everything is organized according to dates or kit values. He was actually a pretty nice guy I spent 3 hrs there just looking at his stuff. These high dollar ones on ebay are all rare resin builds custom done by some guy in Texas. I held one and boy they're heavy like diecast. All lacquer two stage paint jobs bare metal work is awesome, but still wouldn't pay more than a buck fifty for the best one. He even asked me to restore some for him but they were too pricey and I didn't want to risk a mess up. I did tell him if he had a fresh kit he wanted me to do I would. Ha wonder what he could get for one ??

$150 sounds reasonable. But he must have chumps out there paying these prices if he doesn't lower the price month after month.

WOW!! I am not an E'bay person, mainly because i don't know when to stop, and secondly, postage to the land down under is b/s now, unless you can pick up a package deal, it is unfortunately cheaper to go into a shop and pay $40 for what you want. Some of those built kits are tidy, but no where near worth 2-500 $$$$, that is ridiculous, if that is the case i should start selling up, and enjoy an early retirement. running-around-smiley-emoticon

The "BUY 'n' SELL" sites are filled with all sorts of stuff. I would say most of what's for sale is overpriced. Sellers look to maximize profit, unless volume they have or time limits press for realistic prices and shipping rates. As for "bidding" sites I read often of bargains snatched, so one only needs patience and time. I'm conflicted regarding "flippers" as they fill a need, but in doing so they too often are cold blooded. Not really so different from companies, say Walgreens, the huge drug store chain. They imply, after buying out a large French based chain, they may move hdqtrs there to escape U.S. tax rates. Cold blooded, but just how business operates too often.
