The Keith Black Hemi I got from Paul came from a Revell top fuel dragster kit.

Neat, will also be watching how you combine the 2 Well after checking the fit of several pro mod chassis s this one fit the Duster body the best as can be seen in this photo. After building most of the cage on the chassis, I did a mock up to be sure everything fits properly. Notice in this photo the engine plate on the front of the engine doesn't match up on the frame as it should. If I align the plate on the frame the intake is going to interfere with the cowl. Hummm. thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

maybe an outlaw hood would fit ? Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the encouragement! I think an outlaw hood would be KILLER on this build, unfortunely I don't have one so I plan to use the scoop from the T-bird kit. Perhaps I'll get an outlaw hood later and paint it to match this build! Here's an update. I moved the engine back to line up the engine plate and the frame and notched the cowl for clearance. Engine set back is always a good thing! and I checked toensure the scoop does cover the cut!

Here's the Keith Black aluminum Hemi engine with tunnel ram and Lenco racing transmission. I won't add the carbs until the body is mounted on the chassis. This is pretty close to how it's going to sit Here's a shot with the scoop on. I may have to see if I can lower the front a bit more.

Thanks dt! I wanted to represent an aluminum racing block instead of a typical cast iron block. Paul hooked me up with this one. He's a real champ when it comes to finding that special part!

Nice choose of color I've used it several times. Really good results every time. I use lacquer furniture clear over top of mine.
