The thing/trekker is a lot more square at the front and has a bug engine. This has a much earlier aircooled engine that will find a home in my bug hot rod which is in another thread

Had a change of plan on the engine as I stuffed up my first attempt(drilled the exhaust holes in completely the wrong place, lol). Now using one from one of my vw type 4 vans with a dirty great 4barrel on a blow through turbo set up, which has the benefit of being the same scale

Well started on the second engine. Glued the block halves together only to find the kit didn't have any heads? I'm guessing it's because they would be completely hidden when the original model is built so I'm making some from scratch, which won't be too difficult as the race heads are just square anyway. I've also drilled out the plug holes but still have to sand off the moulded in lines and remove the distributor as it won't be required because I'll be making one from heat shrink again(that stuff is pretty good for making distributors as it shapes to the wire) I made a start on the turbo to, but it looks a little small so I might shape some glued together blocks of sprue for it instead. This is the start of the heads and there will be four out of this piece. Too small maybe
