Got this kit for next to nothing. It was missing tires, wheels, rear bumper, and windows. Cobbled it together to see how it looked and I thought it looked like junk. I took a look in the big parts box and came up with an idea to make it look better. Had to do some work on the wheel wells and a little work on the chassis but this is what I came up with. This is what I started with. After a little creative altering this is what I ended up with.

This one is pretty cool. I have to create a chin spoiler, work on that back wing some more as well. This one is alot of fun and its coming together pretty quick. Dont expect it to be done real fast but it came from nothing to what you see in about two hours. The whole interior is stock Camaro as is the entire chassis and the fit is spot on. I cant wait to see how this one is going to end up!

I like it, gonna be a very cool custom for sure. Maybe a little Sac-Religious mashing a Camaro to a Stang, but hey, it's only plastic!
Looking forward to this build!!

Thanks guys. Just wanted to make something out of this kit and that spare Mustang body was just sitting. What I did not know is how easy it was to make everything fit together, (even the interior). Its not pure but its nice. Hmmm??? Since its an outlaw car maybe a big mill Mopar motor since they never run the same motor as the maker of the car anyhow. We will have to see about that LOL!!!

I have a overhead cam 426 hemi with dual quads. Think I will make that fit under the hood. Why not. It will be a FO-MO-CHY!! Maybe I should put a couple of Fart Cans on the exhaust and some simulated neon lights A.K.A Tuner???

Well, you might as well drop that ol HEMI in there mate, that way you keep everybody happy, and it's the only way you will get a ford to go........ Nice work too mate.

Thanks Deecee. Worked on it a little yesterday. Tried cutting out the engine that was molded into the front of the chassis. On doing this what I was left with was so flimsy there was not even a frame to work with and one side of it broke trying to set the car up again. So....it's going to require a frame of sorts up front. Got something fabbed up already and will be putting it on the chassis. Not going to detail it much as its not a great chassis to begin with and won't be seen. That hemi should look good under the hood too and I can add a couple of homeade motor mounts on that frame I made.

Laid up with a blown out knee. Found a way to get to the dungeon and got the creative juices flowing again. Today I fabbed up a front frame section for this snap fit chassis. Used some rectangular plastic. Bent and cut it to fit. Added a shaved k frame from a scrap GTX chassis.

Now comes the fun. I did not want to use a solid metal axle so I created my own axles using 1/16th nails. I filed down the heads, drilled holes and stuck them through the frame rails. These nails will sit on the original axle mounts that the snap fit axle did.

Next comes getting this motor to fit right. Lots of test fitting and sanding to get it right. Filed and sanded down the k frame and installed it on the chassis.

This last picture is the car back together with the motor / trans sitting on solid mounts and fitting right, hedders and all. The new drag tires are on it as well. I ended up mounting the motor a little more towards the back so I had to notch out the body above the firewall. In addistion I drilled out the little nubs where the top braces for the wheelie bars are, added straight pins and also drilled out the struts for the wheelie bars that broke off. On final chassis assembly the wheelie bars will be added.
