WOW!! how much squadron putty did it take to change that camaro into a mustang II?... hehe, not a lot of people like these mustangs, but done like this, very cool!! never knew they made a pro street snap camaro. I'll be watching.

Thanks guys. Just wanted to make something out of this kit and that spare Mustang body was just sitting. What I did not know is how easy it was to make everything fit together, (even the interior). Its not pure but its nice. Hmmm??? Since its an outlaw car maybe a big mill Mopar motor since they never run the same motor as the maker of the car anyhow. We will have to see about that LOL!!!

I have a overhead cam 426 hemi with dual quads. Think I will make that fit under the hood. Why not. It will be a FO-MO-CHY!! Maybe I should put a couple of Fart Cans on the exhaust and some simulated neon lights A.K.A Tuner???

I SMELL A RAT!!! Its a 426 Hemi Rat. Did some trimming and made this one fit hedders and all. This is insane!!

Next was to finish sanding and trimming the fenderwells for the big motor to fit right.

This is the Mustang sitting on its permanent suspension and front frame stub with the motor and trans sitting on mounts now. Made a mistake with the frame I made. I used too small frame parts and had alot of issues. on mounting the axles I made the holes were too close to the edges and they kept falling out of the frame and one rail became real unstable so I used thicker pieces on the new frame. Now the holes through the frame are centered and no rail issues anymore. Also for like the third time I broke the little legs off of the back for the wheelie bars. I may just leave them off. Have not made up my mind on that one. I also ditched the rear wing. It just looked a bit off. looking at other options for a rear spoiler that will look a bit more like it belongs on the car.

great that you fought thru the problems. that 'stang is looking real sweet. hope the knee gets better.

Next comes getting this motor to fit right. Lots of test fitting and sanding to get it right.


Filed and sanded down the k frame and installed it on the chassis.

This last picture is the car back together with the motor / trans sitting on solid mounts and fitting right, hedders and all. The new drag tires are on it as well. I ended up mounting the motor a little more towards the back so I had to notch out the body above the firewall. In addistion I drilled out the little nubs where the top braces for the wheelie bars are, added straight pins and also drilled out the struts for the wheelie bars that broke off. On final chassis assembly the wheelie bars will be added.
