Well, I finagled with it, tried and retried and retried, fitted, refitted, walked away, came back, finagled some more to get this distributor in the right spot. I must admit, for a big scale, this thing is as bad if not worse for small parts. Directions are not the clearest either, but I hope it got the distributor placed correctly - we will see...........

Interesting to watch this Tom. I have this kit and really like it. I have been waiting until I have space for my large scale models to build it. We are putting together shelves to hold the cases I got from Iceman and some nice shelf cases my wife made to hold models, then I will have room for big models. You are doing a fine job on this build. KILLER engine.

Got the basic framework done. I utilized my "welding trick" that i use on NASCAR builds as well for frame work like this. Once it is together, it is usually flimsy. So I then coat each joint with some more glue, smooth it out, then respray the thing again. Also got the seat installed. Got after some more engine work. Finished the distributor wiring, oil lines, decals etc. Working on the blower and fuel lines now, should have this monster together soon. Installed the front end and rear end to the body, and then was going to decal the car - BUT, instead, I decided to clean and polish first with some PlastX. Buffed her down, then rinse cleaned and dried. I then hand painted the window areas in silver as the original car was. Not sure I will try to do the side windows, that's a tricky deal to freehand. I may try, but am scared of ruining the finish. I may think of something unique instead, something that will make this dragster a replica, yet, with my own little twist.

So much engine details.........love it. As for your own name and flames, that would top it off perfectly i reckon.

Fiddled a little more with the monster, 1/16 Hemi. Fuel lines attached, all sequentially lettered. Getting ready to install the blower, fuel distribution valve and hoses. I call it, "the Spider". Headers coated again, next up, the burnt metal anodizer spray for these! Oh yeah, your suggestions did not go unheard. I played around with, stretched, drafted and re-drafted, until I came up with these. Hoping where I am planning to add these will work out - you guys will be my judge - AND BE BRUTALLY HONEST! Not wanting to go overboard or anything, but just HAD to give this Hawaiian Charger a little but of the CC touch!
