Well thank you all so much! Such nice comments - Sid, Stitch, Frank, Ice, Dennis, Dale - you guys rock, and know how to keep a man up to the bench!
After a couple days of drying, I lightly wet sanded her, and applied a few more coats - this time, and with patience, I finally got her the color I am after...
Now to let this harden up like fine glazed china ware - and we're off to the chassis and that MASSIVE motor!!!

I plan on it - supposed to be 100 to 101 each day the next 5 days, heat index of 108 to 115 - NUTS! When it's this dam hot, all you can do is stay inside in the A/C - that is builder lingo for - BENCH TIME!!! egyptian

MMMMMMMMMM SUNSHINE....... big-drooling-smiley-emoticon We have snow down to sea level here at the moment, so modeling is slow for me. That paint job is SWEEEET mate , by the time the clear goes down, we will need to turn down the bright setting on the monitors..

It's been around 106 to 110 in Phoenix with a 50/50 chance of rain so far two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon and I love it. You guys can keep the snow cause that's one reason I left Ohio !!

LOL - don't get me wrong, I agree with you, Mike and John, I too am from the northeast - and am fed up with the white stuff. Hence the reason I have been here for 15 years now. But man, sometimes walking around in a microwave makes me double think it. I mean, geeesshh - when our star wants to project it's radiation upon us, it does so stupendously!
forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon Kind of feel like that Abominable Snowman, (aka polar bear) from the Bugs Bunny cartoons....

Thanks Mike - BUT I ran into an issue. The very edge of the front end had a spot or two of tape that laid on the car - So I sanded the edge off and re-sprayed, then that coat had some droplets on the edge - Good Grief!! I am in the process of lightly re-wet sanding, and will try another light coat of blue to try and make it as the rest of the body. Also had a chip come off the side, right along the window, but that I can leave and touch up as I have yet to silver the window edges. Got the frame painted and ready to get together, that should be today. Painting lots of small parts to get after the engine tonight. I am going to do as much as I can this weekend, especially since I am on muscle relaxers. I twisted my neck, AGAIN, and pretty much am down for a few days - trying to stay as immobilized as I can. You all may think I am some kind of fitness freak, and for sure, I do try, but I also have had multiple surgeries to keep me from falling apart. One of which was a little over 10 years ago, when my neck collapsed, so I have a huge plate holding together ALL of my C-Vertebrae neck bones. Sucks, but this happens every now and then, just gotta chill and let the muscles release the tension from themselves and the nerves, pinched nerves bite, literally! Ha! Oh well - getting old has it's drawbacks I guess.

You know it Sharp - between sitting up, propped up, and of course those yummy Tramadol's, LOL - starting to feel better. Could be the steroid shot though, Ha! Good one Dennis - one of may Fav movies!!! Well, hood's front edge is as good as it gets for now. Next I will install the front and rear panels, fill any gaps with clear glue as needed and touch up on blue. I am entertaining the idea of a very light wet sanding with 12000, then a last light blue coat, then clear color effex, decals, and a final high gloss clear. Getting rolling on the massive Hemi. Am using 3 different gold colors, solar gold metallic for the intake manifold, used a classic, marble gold color for the oil pan, and used a rose gold for the intake and blower fuel lines Between a flat, then satin black, decals and a clear gloss coat, I think the seat looks pretty close to having a leather / vinyl appeal I think.

Seen DC was watching this, so I thought - Crap! Better get some more details on this. Sooooo.... Got the valve cover oil filler caps on, breather caps on, slipped the belt on before I get too many things in the way Removed, detailed and re-installed the fuel pump, and put together the 2 part distributor with boots installed
