Thanks, bud. I was going to try and build just one but I just couldn't. I turned around and there were the spare parts just yelling to be built. Two on the way. Will be similar but different as per usual. Will keep this thread for both. Lots of primer and base colors for now.

Thanks Paul, Mike and Tom. I decided what I'm going to do with this to make them different. One Highboy One Lowboy Here's the Z'd frame for the latter. Had to use a new frame since I had already primered the others. Always great to have a good supply of 32 Ford parts. Before and after

Mm,mm. Taco Bell! Do you know why they don't have playgrounds at Taco Bell? Because it's hard to have fun when you might strawberry your pants. Lol Anyways...a little bit of engine work. Here's the air cleaner I will use. Here's a quick mock up. And here it is after adding boots for the spark plugs and a quick wash to get rid of the fake looking chrome.

Nice start there mate, and that engine will look killer with that billet cleaner on it. This kit is one of the best ones i think.

And a few more minutes on the engine. Alclad paints for some parts. Aluminum for the oil pan. Blend of aluminum and steel on the tranny. Now that I see the pics it looks a wash is going to be needed on it. smiley-confused005 While I've been working on the engine. Some color has been drying on the body parts.

No such thing as too much engine Ice I second that motion!!! 2 very nice but very different builds going on here mate, very nice on BOTH of them. I have a lot of double ups on the shelf, but refuse to ever build 2 the same style, i think that way we can have twice as many DIFFERENT kits built .

Both builds are progressing nicely Ice. Gotta agree with the others, "The money is in the motor" . I have to ask, what are you using for the wash on your engine? It really looks good and tones down the chrome to bring out the detail.

Thanks guys. I'll stick with it.
Tom - depends which part of the engine youre talking about. The parts that came chrome in the kit, I use Tamiya Smoke t wash them. The rest of teh silver looking parts, I use Alclad paints.

Thank you sir. A little more today finally. It was over 100 degrees all weekend long so my garage turns into an oven. I need to get an AC for it! Here are the updates. Highboy chassis is close to done. Toned down the chrome parts for this as well. The wheels look great without the OOB chrome. The lowboy has been getting some engine parts painted and the wheels de-chromed. No pics on that one as those are even MORE boring than the ones I just posted.

That "de-chroming" thing you do is awesome Ice, thinking I may try that on an upcoming build to start learning. I have an empty black paint testors jar now, was thinking to throw in the 1/2 jar of used testors thinner, shake well, and give it a try - lightly brushing here and there

That sounds messy, Tom. Buy Easy Off, but the Walmart brand oven cleaner spray. That's what I use. A small Tupperware container I stole from the kitchen. Drop them in there, spray, and about 30 minutes later, brush them with an old toothbrush, preferably one you're not going to use anymore. lol. Rinse and repeat if needed.
