Going to throw my hat in for this now the windows and other distractions are over with for the time being. Haven't decided on a colour yet but thinking black or green with a blood red interior and possibly a change of wheels to something with more diameter.

Good to see you back at it mate, look forward to seeing this one on the shelf, but one question, does it come with a little bottle of black oil ??

Got a little more done on the Jaag tonight too. Haven't decided if the engine in this will get wired yet as the distributor might not have room for 12 wires but I have got the block together and the first coat of silver on it. Got the body, bumpers and chassis in flat black but its just a base coat for the green as I want it really dark green but might just do it shiny black. Chassis will be staying black though. Anyway here's the pics and I should have the engine pretty much wrapped up this weekend. And here's my mistake for tonight too, lol. yup I forgot to black the top of the bonnet

Deep green would look pretty good over the black mate.

Spent a few hours painting up the engine and suspension parts tonight. Should be painting the body tommorow if its dry, and doing a some detail painting on the parts from tonight.

I like this car and what you are doing with it. Curious to see the V-12 in this.

Thats most of the body now painted. I think I'm going to brush the black on the bumpers and top of the window area as my masking tape (low tack supposedly) is lifting the satin black as seen in one of the pics. I think I'm going to get plastic etch primer for the next kit I paint to see if it helps.

Good start on a mediocre Hasegawa kit, from the looks of it. More of a luxury touring car than anything sporty looking, I suppose it was the Brit answer to Mercedes and BMW. The dark color hides the strange "open top" design. If the engine has possibilities, do wire it. That would help a bit.

Yeah it's a bit of a strange kit, it has a spare interior for a hard top xjs but it is quarter of an inch too long to use. The engine is pretty detailed but the gearbox is just a moulding on the chassis and it's just 2 chrome discs with no detail for the front brakes and black mouded in discs on the axle for the rear brakes.

Been taking full advantage of being at home for a few days. Just waiting for the paint on the interior to dry so I can satin coat the seats, dash and door panels so no pics of it just now but the engine is nearly finished. I tried to find a way to wire the engine but there just isn't room as the spark plugs are in the valley between the 2 heads and there was a lot of other bits to go there as well, and a few more still to add in the same area. Tommorow I hope to get the bmf done and there's a lot of it to add. I think I might change the door mirrors as the ones in the kit are a bit ugly and don't really suit the rest of the car. Got an idea to make the back brakes look better too that I hope will work.

You've got some great stuff going on there. I think the red will go fine with that green. And I'm thinking that a car with black chrome would be a great super-villian vehicle.

looking interesting. Odd that, with the advent of PE (photo etched) parts, nobody thins down the blades of the fans. PE fans look so much more realistic. I luv the undercarriage detail and am surprised at the nice rear suspension. Interior is very nice in the bright color. Thanx for the update.

Well I've got the bmf all finished on the jag and I've now run into a problem. The tops of the bumpers where I've spent ages foiling and retouching the paint has to be glued to the body. Can I just superglue straight to the foil or do I have to strip it off (AGAIN)

I would bet you need to peel it off where it gets glued. But I am not totally sure, just my brain tells me it may not work if BMF is between the body and bumper, and glue

I have glued BMF before and it worked but not a bumper. Dale has worked BMF a lot.
