Super charging a Daisy Duke motor......... 4 popper to boot! THAT my crazy ass friend is gonna rip whats left of the bed and frame in half! LOOKING good from here, all I can see is..........taillights headed for pavement whats this, OHHHHHH the "Moving part" is the front half and it lost the rear half!....... if the bumper crosses the finish line you WIN! two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon Alan, I still LOVE the fact you choose a Mopar Slanty-6!!!!!!! I got plans to do such a wicked build too, just NOT sure what its going into atthis time! MAYBE a '71 Duster! OR if I can locate the grille and hood, to a '71 Demon!

Frank the more I see this truck the more I think it had to have been FUN with that short wheelbase and I BET did burnouts pretty damn quick too without tryin! What was in your real truck? Did you say it had the I-4, 2.5L Iron Horse in it? GAWD I bet with the short wheel base, lighter weight, it do a burnout even with the 2.5L WITHOUT the super charger on it!

My s10 would get a 3rd gear chirp with the stock size tires on it, now it has 235/75 15s that are mighty aggressive lol. This is coming along great Frank! I don't think the Chevy 2.5 bottom end would handle that boost though lol. The actual 2.5 iron duke that was built by Pontiac for the fieros and such would do better. I research putting a small turbo on my s10 and quickly realized I didn't want to find an OMC 153ci motor to steal the rotating assembly out of.

Jesse, don't ya love how they (GM) builds these engines for a specific purpose and then all of a sudden you see 'em in EVERYTHING!? Like my Buick..... it has the 3.8L in it which is the old Buick 231 CID engine that I've had in late 1980's models of the Old Cutlass, as well as as an '87 Olds with a 4.3 V-6 in it...... for a V-6 was a lot of go like hell..... I miss that 4.3L car! Was a Cutlass as well.... 4 DOOR car, to boot! The paper work in the '87 I had, came factory with a W package in it from Olds which I thought was pretty good and it got decent mileage for the amount of power it had too. and it had a AC that you after it got going, would have to turn it off in 95 PLUS degree weather as it was damn near blowing snow out of it! I LOVED that part of it! Thing had some AC... NEVER a time it skipped a beat either..... Also seemed the more I tried to punish it, the more the damn thing liked it..... My 3.8L I got now in the Buick is damn near the same, it doesn't have the same umph the Olds had, but, it does haul ass pretty good, and the best part it handles nice (ALL of them did) but the the Olds would have stomped the Buick in no time flat...... I bet that Olds would stomp my Truck! BUT HP wise I'd drag the cars the opposite direction they were headed LOL IF the chains would hold up that is..... LOL Jesse, do they even make the 2.5L anymore?

thanks Jesse and John. yes she would "lite 'em up" at the drop of a hat and wheel hop like an SOB until you let off. i think the biggest reason is because the weight was transferred to the front end. my oldest son (18 yrs) could lift the back end of the truck up! not the tires of the ground mind you but enough to take all the "slack" out of the springs.
i added the blower for the OMG factor and also the "dare to be different" thing. oh, and i think i'll be ok on the bottom end of this build since it's actually a jeep engine.

Love that "dare to be different" idea with the blower mate, that's my motto on building, no point in building something the same as anyone else. Looking real good mate.

I bet it would Frank! Wheel Hop, I can't even begin to imagine how much it did that! Specially with the short bed it had and less weight, plus the extra short wheel base! LOL Sounds like a whole lotta fun tho! You said about the Daisy Duke motor, its just a "stand-in" for the 2.5L, I-4 right? meaning if it WAS the I-4, 2.5, it wouldn't hold up to the blower, boost, BUT, I BET it would for a short while and even so if it didn't, that short time I bet be fun as hell! BUT I'm not sure Daisy Duke 4 popper hold up top a blower so.. and as it looks you used a S.C.o.T.'s blower too! Right? From the pictures it looks like one anyway! They little then all the rest.....

thank you Rick John,i really haven't a clue about the bottom end of either engine, survey so far says no. the blower is from the twin blower set-up that was in that pink pro-street thundrbird kit that revell made. same set-up as the Dobbertin J2000 kit. only reason i know it's the t-bird is cuz it's molded in pink

You know I was just busted your bawls, don't ya Frank? It looks like a 371 supercharger to me. Anyways, I'm glad you went back and shortened the bed up more, it looks just like your old 1:1 now!(minus the rust of course lol)

Same here......... all in good ole Fun..... The blower however, I'm not sure what it is, or is to be, it just looks small so I thought it was a S.C.o.T.'s version..... As the one I have is really small compared to the others I have!
Any color choices for the body yet?
