little late on the draw for this one but i'm in.  wasn't sure if i wanted to hack this one up due to relative scarcity and higher price range but, this is exactly what i wanted it for so here goes.    i'm starting with this gluebomb i scored from Iceman awhile back

and i'm doing a representation of a truck i actually owned.  i say representation because i sold it before i could realize my vision for it...until now    here's the real thing that i paid $200 for.
beginning

i bought this from a young lady who had named it "Rusty Peg", it fit so i kept it. here's the first mod

then one morning i go out to leave for work and the driver's side of the back bumper was on the ground while the other end was still attached.  i didn't think much and just wired it up and went on my way.   well after a couple days of driving i'm hearing the loud clunk from the back every time i hit a bump so i check it out.  low and behold the end of the bumper was still bolted to the frame on the driver's side smiley-confused005 what the h---?? oh i see, the frame has rusted off at the rear spring hanger and the spring is slappin against the frame!  how lovely   after a couple more days of driving as is i had a bright idea smileyCACETROO_zps365bb43e here it is in pictorial form







yup that about does it.  cut 18in off the frame, rolled the rearend/springs forward and shortened the driveshaft 20in and shortened the bed by 24in.  rode like a tractor with no shocks but man would it roast them hides with that "iron duke" 2.5 4cyl.  bone stock!
anyway, this is how it looked when i sold it and my build in scale shall represent whot would have been had i not.  here's the progress so far
