OHHHHH That last one is a Hemi! A Desoto Hemi, I do believe! I LOVE that intake that with it!
The flat head v-8, can be made into a Hemi, as they were fitted years later with a Ardun head and valve cover set, which was in fact "Hemispherical"....

And here's the bed. The yellow looks more orangey than the cab but it looks ok.

That's the perfect look for this truck. Look like a 1:1 I saw on a rat rod forum, I'll get a pic for ya. I personally like the 3rd grill.

Ice, this may sound strange {I'm not going to say Dumb} but how do you find anything at Modelhaus? I've been there many times and can't find anything. I've heard they have resin engines but I can't find them and the site doesn't show you what they have except by a long list. It looks like you have to know specifically what you want or forget it.

I'm not Iceman, BUT I have to say Dennis with Modelhaus, your absolutely RIGHT! I wished they'd have pictures as really, I'd much rather see things and then recognize them from memory to know what I'm getting then to take the risk of thinking its right and then getting it only to find that its not right...... BUT I agree, if they had pictures of what they're selling, I BET money I don't have, they'd get more sales from the sight factor alone! IF you know thats one thing, BUT even still, what kinda "quality" might that part be you know? Always a question with that one for Modelhaus, even tho, I hear they have a good reputation, but even that can fail a sale on an item!

Modelhaus has superb products. I just received the whitewalls I ordered today and they are perfect for future projects. Believe it or not this is the first time I order directly through them. The rest of the resin I have from them, they've came through collections I've purchased or eBay. They dont have engines though. They have a lot of replacement parts for older kits and then of course their resin bodies and tires which are excellent. Super clean. Not sure why they dont have pictures now can we can control that. However here a link to a photo album that has pics of some of their parts from a show they attended. It might help a little. s223.photobucket.com/user/Oldsklhombre/library/ModelCars/Modelhaus%20Pics/08%20pics/#/user/Oldsklhombre/library/ModelCars/Modelhaus%20Pics/08%20pics?sort=3&page=1&_suid=13857637127570580576830459747 public.fotki.com/jsharisky/modelhaus_resin_items/ public.fotki.com/Tomk/modelhaus-resin/ www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=722&hl=

Thanks Ice, That helped a lot. First time I've seen their parts in pics like that. I've been there many times because of articles I've seen about products they have I would like to get but finding them was so hard I gave up. I saw several articles of engines they have in MCM but I guess they discontinued them. I have to agree with John, I think the way their site is set up hurts them more than helps them. but they are very successful so what do I know. I've always been a professional and in business for many years and used to have my own site and that site doesn't seem very professional to me and I hate it because I want some of their parts!

Dennis, I feel your pain lol. I ordered some parts from the a couple weeks ago after searching them out lol.
You know who I wish even had a site, Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. They have some many awesome parts and their casting is flawless, yet you have to email or call them and get a catalogue.

JB, I agree fully. I have literally a box full of RMM's parts and have talked with Norm Vebber, the owner a lot since I came back to modeling and he is the master with resin. I asked him one time why he didn't have a web site and he told me he is a one man operation and wants it to stay that way. He said he had all he could handle the way it is and he couldn't keep up if he had a web site. He really liked my knives and sent me some pictures of models he had built before and he was a great modeler. I bought two of his resin 12 cylinder Ferrari engines and they are seriously a work of art. He even includes tiny brass tubes for venturi for the carburator's. Fabulous detail. I haven't built them yet but sometimes I take down the box just to look at the parts. Maybe I'll post pictures of them sometime if you want to see one.

Catalog is $6.00 check or money order made out to: Replicas and Miniatures Company. Well worth the money. Many people make great resin products but if you want to see what top quality resin is like this is the man.
Address is:

Iceman I don't know what the engine is but I want one of those manifolds bad. What is it from and where did you get it and are you making them and if not then tear that one off and make one dozen of them and bill me after you send them to me. As far as whether it fits in that pickup if you can get it in there it fits. I was so blown away over the manifold I forgot to say I really like the bed and you did a great job with the wood. I have plans to use real wood on some builds. Are the "small steps of styrene" something you made or half round Evergreen strips? I've been trying to figure out how to do that when I use real wood.

Bed looks amazing! The engine is a Chevy, can't tell you the size for sure without seeing the valve covers and it has a weber side draft cross ram intake.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words.
Dennis - I dont know where the engine came from. I'm trying to figure that out so I can get an unbuilt one and see if its possible to cast it. It is half round strips of styrene on the bed Jesse - The valve covers are blank. JM - I checked the engine from that kit and its different.
I will probably stick it in there...... thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

Iceman if you do figure it out and can cast it I very serious about getting at least 6 of those manifolds.

Ice, how many "bolts" are on the valve cover? It almost looks like a 396-427 out of a Corvette, maybe the grand sport kit? Edit: Yep... www.dogshouse.us/models/autos/Grandsport/grandsport.htmlThat's the Accurate Miniatures kit, but the Revell kit has the same setup I'm pretty sure.

It looks very much like that. Close though. The covers are plain. No bolts. No letters just all chrome.

JB, I'm pretty sure that engine is not from the Accurate Miniatures kit. I have both of them and I had resin copies made of the manifold and weber's and that's what is on my Bracket Race '32 coupe. Thay don't look like iceman's manifold and carbs. Close but not the same.
