Hey Ice.. Interior looks great - custom console defiantly works-as well as the colors.. The Engine came out excellent, great job on that.. Also the chrome underneath looks very cool.. Fan shroud with recessed fan is outstanding ( killer idea ). Looks like Automatic column shifter ?? Steering wheel turned out excellent..OOOPS where is the Alternator mount bracket Oh yea can't forget the inline fuel filter-well done !! Automatic transmission you mean ? Its got no "Transmission pan" meaning its a standard tranny.....No tranny fluid need to be added to these, just greased every now and again! In an automatic, they have "pans" for the fluid to get in and around everything and it collects like oil does in the bottom lowest point, and is circulated by running the engine.....OLDER cars didn't have filters for it but the newer ones that are automatic do! Have a fluid filter, and some even have transmission coolers that work much the same way as a radiator only trans. Fluid passes through the lines as air cools the fluid! -Just a tid bit for future detailing purposes!

If I may ask, what is this home chrome process that you mentioned?

Thank Dale and Tom.
Yeah Don,I use Spaz Stix rattle cans. Three step process. A gloss black backer, ultra high mirror chrome, and the gloss coat. 20 minutes in between coats. They sell it for air brush as well but to me it's handier in rattle cans for small parts.
Reminds me I need to get more.

Ice your body paint always looks so crisp and sparkly, is that the natural finish for the one coat lacquer? Where do you get your Spatz? If you ever need fuel pumps for this type engine go here www.xtremescaledetail.com and under "Products" look at VCG Resins. They make a nice pump for $1.25.

Thanks GHK and Dennis.
You can get a pretty good finish from throat brand of paint but I like clearing mine, all the time. I use Rustoleum clear for all my glossy builds. The Spaz, I get on eBay. I haven't seen it locally. I'll have to keep that website in mind Dennis. Thanks.

Clear over chrome? yer the second person I have read about that has clear'd chrome, I have the Ginsut powder, Spaz set for airbrush, AND Alclad, can even make bad arse chrome from a can, I use allot of Dupli-Color gloss clear, gonna have to give this a try, over Spaz of course, seems to work for ya. thanx Rattle can Chrome
