Oh nice! A jeep! Not too many of these are customized as they're already nice right out of the box. Looking good.

I plan to use the 340 from the revell challenger t/a kit.

thats cool... BUT wanna trade valve covers and heads? I got actual "Heep" 304 and 401's, LOL (I'll have ta look and see if I got heads for those that will fit! Anyway, the valve covers say "Jeep" on them....And I can use an extra set of small block Mopar valve covers, Heck, I'll trade ya just for the valve covers if ya want!
BUT it depends on how soon ya need them (planning for the MOTM you got going on!

Very cool little trick with the thread I would have never dreamed that you could use thread to cut cars up.

John, let me look to see if I have another set of valve covers I can use on here temporarily. Mike, sewing thread makes a pretty good saw, but you can't stay on one part of the thread for long before it breaks. Dale, I will end up making some sort of grill/headlights to take up the space lol. Got some more done last night before going to bed. You can also see the start of the engine. The frame is one piece again IMG_20140809_002504_459 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr I like the detail of adding plug wires, I think it helps the look immensely. I just hate drilling 9 holes in the kit distributor lol. So this is my solution to that. I used a razor saw and cut the "cap" of the kit part and cut a small section of aluminum tubing(not sure on the size). IMG_20140809_010735_727 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr Then super glued the tubing to the distributor base. IMG_20140809_010929_906 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr Later I will use five minute epoxy to glue in the plug wires. The body got primed too and here's a quick mockup shot. IMG_20140809_002838 by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr Thanks for looking!

I think it looks good. Maybe spray some brown on top the of the green again and then green again. Maybe too much work.
I like it!

Looking good. I always liked the J trucks. My son has a 1:1 1984 J-10 he plays around with, I'll have to show him this build.

Jesse, That was the same issue I had with the Daisy Duke Jeep, adding in the V-8 caused some small issues with the frame clearance and had to use other means of exhaust manifolds.... Those "Block Huggers" headers, what kit they come off of, OR what Resin place did you get them? Those ARE NICE! The factory headers, for the 340, again because they Mopar I'd be interested in for small block use! That J-10 is an AWESOME truck, question tho, 4x4 or not? GREAT work so far!

John, the original kit of the J10 was 4x4 and it is again now lol. The 340 manifolds are in your box already. The headers I used are from the amt 55 Chevy truck kit, this one here...http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0054LC7ZQ?pc_redir=1407425963&robot_redir=1
Thanks bud!
