Haven't seen one of these yet. I built a '69 hard top a few years ago and used the chassis from a revell firebird, worked great and better detail lol. Can't wait to see what's next.

ok, major screw up number one complete............ so, I got the body out and started cleaning up the mold lines and flash. after that, I gave it a wet sanding and wash. so I take it back in the 'room' to dry it off, and get looking at the panel lines. well, the panel lines are pretty shallow, so I figure i'll scribe them to deepen them, this is where it went bad the doors were pretty shallow, so while doing them, one door panel line came out quite 'squiggly' even with staying in the 'lines', and the top curve of one door got way wide on me. so, this body is going into the box, and the other kit is getting broken open to use 'it's' body. I hope the panel lines on that one are better, or I may end up buying a dozen of these to get the lines right.............

perhaps a flexible straight edge to follow or maybe a masking tape line along the panel line could help. something to give a bit more "edge" to follow.

i guess if i had eased up on the scribe some, it would have helped, but we all know how that stuff goes, lol. i think ultimately i can save it, but for now i will work the other body and be a bit more carefull my big concern is i plan on really laying the paint and clear on this thing and don't want the details dissappearing under it all.

Very cool build subject tbill, I like the color scheme you have planned. I almost got one of these a couple weeks ago from Hobby Lobby, but I then seen another shiny object. Still want to get one so I will definitely be watching this one. Sorry to hear you are having problems right out of the gate, but hey, just remember, almost everything is fixable, it's only time and money that can kill it.

Have no fear, I think I can save body number one, but I will clean up number two and get it going for this build. I think after some high build primer I can save the first one. I will really be carefull with this one second time around , lol. Stay tuned for updates.

it's usually not an issue, but the door lines on this kit are so shallow and 'fine' it was hard to do them. I didn't even try on the second body............which is now in color.....might have pic's later/tomorrow.
