Oh man, you know Les, seeing this set this low, and with the wheels showing that much camber - you probably just gave DC a woody!! LOL

I do love those wheels on it, but you can dial the camber back a bit, it will be a mighty cool build mate.

Turns out swapping gearboxes between the kit small block and a big block from a baldwin motion parts kit, works so well that even the engine mounts line up. I've done a test fit with the custom induction parts and it looks like it will work out pretty well. The camber will have to stay due to the tyres being shaped for it.

Just re primed the body. Hopefully this time it wont go bad on me. I'm hoping I'll not have to do the hood or bumpers as they haven't crazed when the clear went on.

I think I need to take a trip on the boat when the weather improves and get some different paints to try. Yet again the roof and trunk have reacted. I'm starting think I spend more on paint than kits. I was very careful with it too, I built it up with almost dust coats until it was all covered, then it was 2 light coats half an hour later and another heavier coat half an hour after that.

Coming along nicely mate, i have mixed results with PVA under the flocking, but have found if i thin it down with some water, it works better. I like the color choices on the door skins too.

Got a bit more done tonight. Just the black section in front of the passenger to finish and thats the interior done. I also made some progress on the engine, however I'm not sure about the wiring as there isn't much space under the manifolds and the distributor is different to what I've used before as it just has tiny spikes on the side for fixing the wire to. It's the big block from a baldwin motion camero kit with all the custom parts from the monte carlo. It all fits together surprisingly well.

I tight engine bay is the best look, it means you jammed the biggest thing you could in there. Looks real good mate, have you done some black wash on the chrome?

Just waiting for painting weather still. The winds at 60 and rising now, and we had a weekend of hail with gales before that. I see me having a couple of days of just spraying when it improves.

Managed to get reprimed today. I think I'm going to have to strip the body and start again though. It's still reacting on the top of the trunk, but the rest looks ok. Hopefully I can just use nailvarnish remover so I don't have to strip the whole thing

Now I have stuff for stripping paint, that works on acrylic, this is back out of the box. Hopefully in the morning I will have a nice clean body ready for priming and painting. Fingers crossed I have enough of the gold paint left.

Cheers mate, I am really impressed with this fairy power spray, once the thick foam has reduced, it turns to a thick gel so sticks to the body and keeps working, unlike normal oven cleaner that runs off the bottom. I don't know what it would be called your side of the pond, but this stuff is meant for burnt on deposits and cleaning the shelves from the oven. 100% recommended

Yes, my oven is bad, but what do you expect from a bachelor..... Look forward to seeing you get back onto this one mate..

It just needs the body painted, I was planning to do it today but it snowed overnight. I haven't tried it on enamel yet though, and I have a 60's corvette that brake fluid didn't even touch the paint on still to clean.
