Hi all.
I was invited here by Joel from another site.
Looks interesting.
Personal stuff, I am 54, married, no kids (my wife does have an adult son in Myrtle Beach SC). Spent most of my life in Phoenix, AZ. Was born in Ohio and 8 years ago had a chance to move back here and took it. Some regrets but overall am still glad I did. Served in the USNavy as a missile fire control tech on a Poseidon submarine, only did 6 years, got out in 1983. 30 years ago and sometimes it still seems like yesterday. Currently I am unemployed. RF Electronic technician, hoping something comes up soon, living off of my meager 401k money. Been 7 weeks now.
Modeling stuff. I tend to stick with the kits that first came out in the 60's and 70's. Either stuff I built as a kid or stuff I always wanted to build but couldn't. AMT 3 in 1 kits are magnets to me. Also alot of Monogram, especially the Tom Daniel stuff. The Badman 55 Chevy, the Street fighter in it's different releases, and T'rantula are probably three of my all time favorite kits, as well as the AMT 40 Ford coupe and the AMT/Revell 40/41 Willys.
I suck as a builder. Not being modest. I know what I need to do but I tend to get impatient and either quit or just slap the thing together. Working on building skills and patience. smileyCA9464IN_zpsd9ee499f Just getting back into this stuff after a few years off. Been off and on'ing most of my adult life. Just bought a spray booth and a bunch of other tools, so this time I had better keep on'ing. Cheap booth, no flammable, so I am going to be learning how to really airbrush with acrylics this time around.
