Hi All! I am 61 and retired from the Telephone Company with 32 years and worked at White Sands Missile Range for 6 years. Robin and I own an online Model Railroad store for 10 years and do well. I have built plastic models on and off since I was 4 years old and my dad helped me build a Aurora? self propelled howitzer.
I have lately gotten interested in building a kit once in a while so thought I would take up an invite from iceman-555.

Glad you could join us Mike! I can see how your preference is with trains. I know nothing about them but have seen plenty of train places on my way up to Alamogordo. I'm in El Paso and I remember my grandpa telling us stories when I was young about laying the railroad out in that direction.
We'll grab a seat, take a look at what's going to on and hope to see some of your car kits soon. Anyone here would be glad to help.

Welcome my friend. We have a lot of great things going on here and we are all pretty friendly if you need something ask. Check out the mall, if you would like myself or Iceman can set you up with a shop and you can put in a link to your railroad site, just a thought.

welcome aboard mike. trains, yet another thing I dig, but haven't really explored. used to watch a show on PBS every now and again that was about trains, layouts etc. of all scales [name escapes me], cool stuff, I could go overboard with that stuff in a hurry, lol. I do however have a couple of Snap-On train sets tucked in the attic.

So glad to have you here join in and have some fun we're here to help. We had a retail shop and sold my half to the partner , then we later started the online shop and been going for about 10 years. Mike I am an avid model railroader and have pplans to put in a garden railrooad in my backyard, in factt I am going to have that plan built into my house plans when I move sometime this year. A toyman all the way, I love Christmas and when I get my trains running I will let people come see it at Christmas time. I hope to have a YouTube video of the build and then the final assembly with trains running, maybe you can help me find an F-unit engine.

I grew up along tracks in Illinois watching those Santa Fe trains going by all day long. That's pretty cool
