Just received an invite from Iceman over on the Scale Auto forums. Thanks Joel! I'm a retired railroad engineer just returning to the hobby of model cars. Haven't built one since way back in the sixties other than a '39 Chevy sedan/delivery by Monogram. Started it in 1994, got the frame and engine built up, body painted but that was as far as I got. I got back to it a little while ago and it's close to being finished. (one front wheel was busted off and the rear shocks have disappeared) I also have, all of a sudden, a stash of about 8-10 kits .

Hello Mr. Purcell. Glad you could make it. All of a sudden is the same excuse a lot of use here. HAHAHAHA. Take some time and get to know the place. Great group of guys here. Start your commenting on other folks builds and start your own threads with your projects.
That 39 is coming along just great. I would say to start a thread with it and your ongoing work in the under construction section that way we can all follow along.
Welcome

Welcome, come on in and share your disease, we are all afflicted with it here. That stash thing is something I haven't figured out yet myself. Started with 5 or 6 kits that had been laying around here and some how they have been multiplying exponentially. I try to keep them separated, but they are multiplying like rabbits. Want to see more of that '39 you're building. Looks like you are doing a mighty fine job so far.

Grandpabeast, I think that there are some Jack Asters around. They would be in the GTA though and I'm 2 hours north of there. There are none up here in Muskoka.
