I hear ya John. I see this website as a place where I can fit in with my beliefs and hopefully find some others searching for a purpose that I can share my faith with. Like you say, building models is such an internalized thing - I don't want to share what I've done for praise, but to see if I can learn to improve from others who are better.
If there is some mega-Adam, then it's gotta be a pure alien plant here so long ago it makes no sense. Why drop in, leave a couple "visitors", and split? I'd be kinda angry if I got voted as one of the the super beings to be abandoned to propagate an empty planet LOL! Ah, ya gotta love liberals who won't try to expand their knowlege for partisanship.

Awe mannnnnn I forgot to watch it !!! Pain has pretty much dictated my schedule lately. So I probably slept through it. Well glad he won wish I could a seen it. Blessings Jp Oh and What I was saying is science has agreed with scripture that we all have desended from one person.

wow! so i'm not the only one who sees where we're headed:( having grown up in church i have my beliefs and i've been cross-referencing the evening news with the bible(particularly the book of revelations) and it's not such bright and rosy future we're headed for. i believe the end is near and it saddens me greatly. not because i fear death or tribulation, but rather because i see the possibility of my sons missing out on soooo many things that i've enjoyed in my almost 44yrs...namely fatherhood. i hope i'm wrong but instinct says i'm not.

Amen Knarf I have the same concerns for my children and even more now that my first grandchild is on the way so I just pray God will look over them and protect them since I can't do it anymore. Peace to you also my brother

Amen, my brothers! But like Jesus preached, we must focus on that which is eternal, not that which is of the world. I have been struggling to CM, and I find little solace in my family who seems to be tired after 5 years of watching my decline. Now, the things I do to try and help are outweighed by the small light of relief offered by this hobby I've found. Now they miss the camping, the beach trips, etc. that I can't even imagine trying to accomodate. Not only that, with such reduced income, we couldn't afford it anyway!

well, i'm not a fan of organized religion, BUT, I do believe in honoring your word, doing the right thing [regardless of the consequences], and just trying to be a good person in general. i'll admit, I don't know what the guiding force is, but I do think there is such a thing as fate, and when I look back at things I have been thru [not to go into detail, but my youth was a bit of an up/down ride, and not all of my own making] I can sort of see why I was at that moment/situation, and how it got me to where I am, and who I am.
I have had a lot of stuff happen to me in life so far, some good, some bad, but I can't honestly say i'd change a thing, cause then I wouldn't be who I am today, and to be honest, I like who I am [always room for improvement mind ya], but it took quite awhile to get here.
I guess my advice is, keep your head up, and keep positive, eventually it's gonna make sense.........it's all good.

Good advice! You've summed it up better than I could. I was raised Catholic (no offense to Catholics), but I've read/seen too many things about WWII and the Vatican, the secrets, etc. Yeah, it could all be a farce, but then again maybe not! I do believe in the Bible and it's contents because there's no proof for the big bang theory. If God is a theory, then so is science's version and both should be offered in school. Heck, little children can sit together in as little as 2nd or 3rd grade and share why they have two moms or dads! And other children are forced to listen? ACLU be damned! (pardon my french).
There are many spin-offs of faith: Quakers, Mormons, Presbyterians, Gospel, etc. Why can't there be the one driving force of the same thing tbill said: "do the right thing, regardless of the consequences". I think we all have made mistakes, been the victor and victim and still are a work in progress. I hope I didn't take anything in your post out of context. I believe I've learned more about freedom and its responsibility homeschooling my son concerning the Revolutionary period in America's past than anything to date. We as settlers and explorers in a new land decimated the lives of the Native Americans without any concern during our westward expansion. We've been doing the same thing ever since.
