Ok a little while back I asked "WHERE" can a guy get some stuff chromed ? Well alot of the old places have closed. I used to have a local shop but covid killed them. So after a lot of searching and many suggestions I was able to find two Little Motor Kar Company and M & M Metalizing . I looked at cost, return time and I read reviews . I think both are very capable of giving you what you want but I went with M&M Metalizing. This company actually specializes in the restoration of old car chrome and trim . I had several e mails with them and in the end I felt good with my choice.
So they said to make a 6 x 8 rack and secure as many or what ever to that rack for 70.00 , there would be a 7 to 10 day turn around and then 30.00 for return shipping.
This is the rack I sent them. A chassis, a fire wall, a radiator support, 4 wheel backs and some small interior pieces. After I sent it I remembered I wanted to added hood hinges but oh well.

Well, I got my box the other day and man I could not be happier ! I know there are chrome paints and chrome pens and chrome foil but Im sorry they just dont cut it. And some of those products look even worse after you handle and glue them. Let me tell you. I have never seen a box kit chrome tree that looked this good !! As a matter of fact, Im worried the chrome from this kit now doesnt look as shine compared to this. As soon as I opened the box and got through all the packaging and tissue wrap,,,,,this piece gleaned ! Full coverage, no light or yellow spots, very smooth and crisp. I took about 10 pictures but even with flash off it shines so much the pictures dont do it justice. This looks amazing and I know I will be using them again down the road. Ive actually started talking with them about re chroming bleached chrome trees and what kind of discount if I send them a whole box of trees.
