Ok, its been awhile . Everyone has til November 1 so I hope to see more builds, but here is my update. Warning : the chassis and motors seen in these pictures is only for mock up . Its from a gluebomb/rebuilder . So far we have chopped, narrowed, shortened, channeled and now its time for some body work. Ok, moving right along. I have been working every spare minute because Im afraid Im going to run out of time. I love these types of builds , kit bashing and customizing. So far I have 2 Gremlin kits, 2 Mysterion kits, 1 Mysterion glue bomb / rebuilder and 2 62 Corvettes with the dual blower motors.
Speaking of the Roth Mysterion , high five to anyone who has built that kit !! By far the hardest and most complicated frame and suspension ever. 1 to 5 degree of difficulty 5 ! Compound that with the fact that it is all chrome, we all know how hard it is to glue chrome together.
So the body is back together and heading to body shop. I finally got my frame and rolling chassis done. Im starting the interior which will be a combo of Gremlin and Mysterion. After sizing the Gremlin bucket to fit the cut down body I removed the floor. The Gremlin bucket / dash will ride with the body when it tilts ( like a funny car ) The Mysterion will be two floors cut up and pieced back together making them bigger and maintaining the unique double trans humps. It will stay with the frame when the body lifts as will the seats, pedals and so on .
The motors will be two from the Gremlin kits. Luckily they came with automatic transmissions and they are almost the same size as the ones in the Mysterion. Unfortunately they have axel holes threw the block and oil pans. So those must be filled and patched first. They will each be topped off with a double blower set up from the 62 Corvette kits. So 2 401 AMC motors with 4 6-71 Blowers, should do the trick.

Thanks Joe, you know once you cut and narrow or shorten then everything has to be narrowed and shortened ! My interior is in several pieces , ha ha but its coming along. As long as I dont run intp any problems I should be fine. Still have a few more tricks up my sleeve thou so keep watching !!

Wow! I love where this is going. I met a car customizer who told me "I have a car that I've cut and welded on so much that by the time I'm done I'll have to tell you what it started out as". I feel like that statement applies here.

With only three days left, off in my October schedule , Im inching closer. I still may get it done in time. Rolling chassis is complete, body work complete and I was able to get some colors on it tonight. Assemble the interior, make the glass, detale the body and final assembly !
