HI all, been absent for a bit but have been plugging away at this project. It is the 1/48 scale Great Wall Hobby F-15C. I will be doing this in the two tone camo of the Massachusetts ANG. I am adding the terrific 3d printed decals by Quinta for the cockpit details (these things are super easy to work with and look better than anything else I have used), and exhaust cans by ResKit.(the cans on these have some intricate detail and look way better than the kit's) Well below are the opening pics of the aforementioned as well as the finished cockpit and forward fuselage section. (Notice the effect of the Quinta decals)

I am making some good progress on this. I completed the painting process on the Eagle. First was prepping by sanding seams and repairing panel lines that were obscured by same. Next was the primer coat and correcting the repairs I overlooked. Then the preshading of the panel lines and shadows on the warbird. This was followed up with the base color of Aggressor Gray by initially painting the centers of the panels and then lightly overcoating and surgically covering up the preshade to allow some to show through. Finally, my own mix of the "Mod Eagle" dark gray/blue camo was applied after using post it tack to get a harder demarcation line. The following pics depict these steps. I have since hand brushed future floor polish on all painted surfaces in preparation for decaling and panel wash weathering. I also already painted the bare metal surfaces on the engine nacelles then masked. Unfortunately I didn't photograph these, but they will be seen in later photos.

I am finally calling this done. I would say that I am satisfied with the result, the lousy decals notwithstanding. The rest of the pics can be seen in the finished project thread.
