Hello all, I too was recruited from the dark side by Mustang1989 (Joe). Thanks bud! My name is Gil and I am from the overtaxed state of Massachusetts, have two adult daughters, a wife, a cat, and many hobbies including modelbuilding. I chose the moniker, "mrversatile" because it reflects my contribution to this great hobby. I like to build in nearly all genre's (except scifi), and try to overlap the various skillsets in each to enhance whatever I decide to build at the moment. Oh yeah, I have been a city Police Officer for nearly 33 years, play on 5 wooden bat baseball teams (age brackets from 22-50), draw with graphite and colored pencils, occasionally fish, and currently own a 2013 Shelby Gt500 which I like to drive to local shows and cruise nights. I hope to contribute to this forum, learn, and help others to expand their skills. I will post some of my work soon. Here are a couple of personal pictures:

Whoa Ho Ho!!! Looky who we got here!!! I can't tell you how glad I am to have you here Gil!! Great pictures and never knew you were in law enforcement. Awesome stuff man. I can't wait to see some of your work in here potna. Welcome aboard my friend.

Welcome to the club! We have a great group here that have all kinds skills, ideas, suggestions, etc. I'd love to see some pics of that Shelby sometime. I've got a 2006 GTO I bought brand new, El Camino I built in high school, as well of several other "someday" projects. Glad to meet ya!

Welcome to the group from one of the two modelers in Maine! When we lived in NY we were in the LIARS, sister club to Masscar.

Thanks all for the warm welcome! I am a member of the Baycolony Historical Modelers club as well. Some of you may have been to our annual show called Baycon held annually in Attleboro Ma. in November. Heck, I may even have met some of you. 41Chevy, I think you meant the LIARS club out of Long Island. I have heard of the club but never attended a show there. I have entered at MassCar but haven't been back for a number of years.
