First disappointment with the Renault RE20 Turbo kit all these screws, springs and nuts are all in the same bag, when I bought the Mefistofeles it came with this case (ignore the ships rigging parts it what ive been using it for since) it just goes to show how manufacturers cut corners.

I've seen these F1 cars built up and in this scale there's alot of details. There seems to be a ton of aftermarket items available for this scale as well. Looking good so far ol' buddy.

First off.....those pictures off the top of that hill are just beautiful. Nature is a wonderful thing and can do wonders for one's mood.
Secondly....this method with the talc and paint.....can you elaborate or illustrate what the end results are when things go well? I'd be really interested in seeing that. Details are really poppin' on this one Ken.

Generally I sprinkle a little bit of talc on the paint whilst it's still wet then I dab with a brush, sometimes I leave areas alone round water pumps and things to show the corrosion you get there(depends how grotty I want it) generally you get a nice variation to the colour of the metal with this effect but not on what ive done so far. If you look at my cb750f build (the one on the work bench) that's the methods I used there and it worked well. jerryscherrys.freeforums.net/thread/4275/tamiya-1-honda-cb-750Obviously I used burnt umber a lot there as well Plus as this is being restored and is supposed to be dirty I used engine grease.

Exceptional details and that yellow turned out great! I've never had any real issues with yellow.....maybe it's just dumb luck for me.
