That's the little tiger that comes with the kit. I think he was the cars mascot at the races

TASTES GREAT!...oh, no no no, that was Tony the Tiger. How about LOOKS GREAT! Like what you did with the wheels. I think I like the color combo on the left side of the car better than the right too. Your GTO seems to have two sides to it, dark and light, which side will you choose? Choose wisely as your soul may depend on it, but I hear the dark side has cookies.

Well i love this ! I am a big GTO fan so this just screams "Drive me Beast" ( boy I havent heard that in a long time ! Hee ) The Tiger was part of the Put a Tiger In your Tank - Drive Pontiac Promotion. Jim Wangners was the father of the GTO, basicly all his idea. And the idea behind the two tone paint was to give potential customers an idea of what it looked like in white or black....dont think it worked well. Most thought it was silly! Side note Butler Performance is who built the 389 thats in my sunfire red lemans .

Delorean was the one who came up with a big motor in a lil Lemans and called it GTO . Wangners is the one who "thru Pontiac" promoted the GTO to Muscle Car status and came up with all the things like Tiger in the tank and the GTO Tigers ( thats what these were called ) He is usually at just about every GTO or Pontiac cars show. He is still very involved yet as old as dirt ! LOL !
