Hey gang,
Hope you all are enjoying your summer. I know with the warm and sunny weather it is difficult to shut ourselves in and work on models but what do you do when you are in a bit of a rut and can't seem to find the spare time to work on a project? This entire year has been rather crazy for me. My daughter was born in January, lost a beloved pet a few weeks ago, and now adopted a new puppy. That and the fact that I work full time at one job, part time at another, it's difficult to even get a snap together kit completed. Anyone else have this issue from time to time? What do you do to get back in the swing of things?

Yes sir !! I work 12 hour shifts at night from 6pm to 6am when you include drive time it is almost 5 to 5. when i get home I take kids to school and dont get to sleep till 8 and get up at 2 so that leaves me 3 hours to do everything I need to do. Doesnt help that I work 66 and 72 hours every other week. Hey its the price we pay for the life we live ! i do manage an hour here or there ! Just keep plugging away. I will be posting all the themes for 2020 soon and everyone can start building for the future ( just follow the rules )
As for ruts, sometimes I will just take a simple fun build and do it without much detail. They usually end up in the junk yard but remember it was just for fun

Yeah I normally try to get a snap together kit and put it together just to say I accomplished something. But I like to add a few details here and there before I put them together. This last one is currently in the Purple Lake because I didn't like the finish I put on the details. Oh well, I'll try to get something finished soon. Sometimes it bothers me when I go to bed and think "man, I haven't built a model in ____ weeks/months"
