Thanks for your suggestions guys. I think you're all correct to go with a grille. Going to look at a few options. So far I've taken the grill from the 47 ford panel delivery kit. Sectioned it. the pics don't show it yet buy I made it a bit thinner and added primer. Here are some shots. Not sure if this will be the way to go. What do you guys think?

I like that! It's different than a '32 grill too, that just about every hot rod has.

Skip - it's sure is different. Thanks
Gardner - thanks, bud
Doc O - thanks for the suggestions. Going to see how this turns out. If I don't like I'll try one of those.
Scale - thank you for your kind words.
Laid the paint on the grille housing. Waiting for it to dry. Still have to clean up the actual grille and chrome it. We'll see.....

ice, I hate to be the odd man out, BUT, that car needs a 32 grill, it is what it is. you have captured a clean, subtle, terrific look, to add a non 32 grille just shoots it in the foot for me. just being honest, you nail a shortened 32 grille on that somebeotch, you have the belle of the ball on your hands! again, being 100% honest here, that grille just doesn't fit the look you have going.

I appreciate your honesty tbill. Just didn't want to lose the momentum completely. I have something in the mail I'm waiting for that I might change to. It's sitting there so close to being finished.....but I see what you mean. There wasn't much customizing to all of a sudden go with a radical grille.
Still thinking about it....

So I considered everyones suggestions and googled a few pics. Added a spreader bar. Here's the original 37 grille I had planned Here's what I'm going with instead. A sectioned 32 grille. And now that I'm adding a grille, I can add the radiator so now it needs a hose...and there it is.
