... this is "Timmy", my 1948 English Ford Thames 1/4 ct. panel van ....... we finished a total rebuild about seven years ago and this was the result ....... the main body is steel, the nose is a Fiberglas Trends one piece tilt unit, and the rear doors are the factory aluminum ... The paint is Chevrolet Aqua Blue Metallic ... He is powered by a 327 small block out of a '65 Corvette ..... "double hump fuelie heads", Comp cam and kit, Pete Jackson gear drive, Edelbrock intake and carb, MSD ignition, Hedman headers, and a custom shroud created by Alan Shadwick in New Zealand ..... all backed up by a TurboHydro 350 with a B&M 2400 converter and clutches ...... rear end is a Ford 9" with a 3.50:1 gear set ...... all the body work and paint was done by Josh Richardson and the interior was stitched by Tim Scarlett ..... the wheels are ET Mags from Team III wheels and the tires are 145R15's in the front and S375-60x15's in the rear ...... he's getting old now, but he's still a kick to drive

MAN!!!!! THAT IS AWESOME BRO!!! do you take him to the drags? No, his drag racing days are over (he's an old drag racer we rescued and turned into a street rod) ....... but after we got him built I borrowed a 4.87:1 gearset for the 9" Ford rear from a friend and we trailered him down to Rockingham for a test at the dragstrip (1/4 mile) ............... he turned an 11.193 at 123.11 mph ............ we only got the one run as he went under 12 seconds and doesn't have a roll cage and the track manager asked us not to run him again ........ and I can understand that, it's his sanctioning body and insurance rules ...... so it's pretty much low and slow for him now.
