We had a small fire in my department at work. Two people were injured by the flash heat ( the couldnt get away fast enough ) , the machine didnt fair as well. It should be down a couple of weeks !  work bench 07-26-2018 005 |

Thanks guys , yes , this is one of the heat treat machines we run the aluminum threw . The machine is almost as long as a football field. About half way through the metal broke , half went out the exit like it’s supposed to while the rest reversed and started coming out the entry. That’s what you see here. Super hot aluminum catching everything on fire .

Super hot aluminum catching everything on fire . Dude......that is scary!! The biggest worry we have is the hydro cracker going up and that's the equivalent of a hydrogen bomb going off. Plant life pays good but it does have a lot of risk involved. |

man, that had to be loud as heck also. intense heat. you have to be real careful in a plant like that. contracted up here at the old LTV steel in Cleveland for a few years.
