Ok so I was talking to the boys at DriveLine Services and we decided to build a car that would test their new billet machined drive axles for front wheel drive race cars. We already had this Grand Prix sitting at the shop so, starting with a 231 V6 we bored and stroked it to a 350. We added aluminum heads similar to those used on the Grand National GNX and had the boys grind them to increase flow. We topped that off with a 6/71 Blower from Dyers Blowers in Chicago and a 1100 Holley. The wheelie bar is not to keep this front wheel drive from popping wheelies , its to try and keep the front from raising up and thus the tires lose traction. We are still working the bugs out but it has been very impressive so far. Its hard finding a tire that will fit and steer while at the same time hold the power to the street ! workbench 063 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 065 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 067 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 069 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 071 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 073 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 075 by David Keim, on Flickr workbench 077 by David Keim, on Flickr A better interior picture workbench 013 by David Keim, on Flickr
