For those who don't know the history of this ship she sank on her maiden voyage king Louis insisted on a public display of his new ship of the line before it had been tested the death toll was said to be 350 souls but was in fact much higher as all the carpenters and sail makers families were invited for it's maiden voyage (children included) and of course they all died too the cause of it's sinking was the lower gun ports were open (in order to do a salute to the king on it's passing of the port) unfortunately the sea flooded in through the open ports and the ship sank. That is what I am trying to depict here.

I like the details on the back. Neat little bit of history as well.

Hi all well all the detail painting on the hull is done. I've glued the cannons on the sinking side as when it's attached to the base I think it would be very difficult. Added to the base, need to get some more Poundland bathroom sealant now for the sea

Hi all next update I was going to add some stays but Airfix would have you use the God awful plastic coated cotton ratline thingies so no hole through the crows nest Wish I hadn't added the main stays now as drilling out the holes in the crows nest will probably slacken them all off
