Quite a variety Skips! Seems like you favor the foreign makes. I especially like the Beemer. I used to own a 2006 STI before economic hardships hit. Bought it new off the lot and dropped almost $20k in motor work alone (one bad shop, then one good shop) and got up to 370/370 awhp/awtq. Never raced it though. It was still the 4 door sedan type with the huge wing.
I'd like to build the same model in a proper Suby blue with the yellow race decals and gold BBS wheels. Problem was, the turbo was tucked way in the passenger side rear of the boxer block so you could make the FMIC more visible and aftermarket, but the hair dryer would still remain hidden. Nice job bro!

Ya, I'd have been happy to do that trade dude! It was fun at the time and I went from supercharged v-8 to a turbo boxer state of mind. The investment was more than just the engine, there were injectors, fuel pump, mass air, intake - a LOT of upgrades! The first shop sold me a lower end turbo and cheap intercooler; the 2nd shop knew what they were doing - they upped the turbo and moved the intercooler to a front mount. Making 370/370 at the wheels with an all wheel drive car isn't easy bro. smileyCAELY0UD_zps3cc8a166

Cool cars man and i know how you feel about one or two step forward and three steps back. I haven't built a kit in almost 2 1/2 years. Now when i try working with a kit my hands shake.
