(WARNING! THIS PHOTO MAY BE UNSUITABLE FOR YOUNGER AND MORE SENSITIVE VIEWERS LOL!!!!! This is not photo shopped. If you were at a car show with your two young sons and they disappeared for a moment and you heard a voice behind you, turned around and were asked, "are these two boys your kids?" What would you do???

I'd say "nope" and slowly walk away. but first, I'd give them the "LOOK".

forehead-slap-smiley-emoticon I'd change my identity and live a new life without kids.... lol! I watch Graveyard Cars and for those of you who aren't familiar with the show, Mark Worman is a genius when it comes to late 60s and early 70 Mopars. This dude takes next to nothing and brings these vehicles back to life to show room condition. One car they built was a Dodge Charger Daytona and if I remember correctly when they turned the car back over to the owner the owner set his wife up on the wing for a picture. One part of me thought "wow, that would be a cool picture to have". The other part of me was going "DON'T BREAK THE WING!!!!"

As for this wing its designed to withstand 500 mph down force at 200 mph speeds. It is aircraft aluminum and is braced. Read the rest of the story on this at the bottom of this post.

Ok, knowing this is not as it seems here is the 'skinny' on this picture. These are my boys. This is about 20 years ago. We are at one of our clubs shows. I am good friends with the owner of this "Bird" and friends with the owner of the Daytona. We came close to having one kid on each wing but Dave, the owner of the Daytona was not by the car at the time and I don't do nothing without asking. When I was taking a picture of the boys by the Super Bird Lee, the owner asked if I wanted to take a picture I would never forget. I said yeah figuring the boys would be in the drivers seat one at a time. He told me to put both boys on the wing. I asked him if he was sure. He said its no problem. Just do it. We did and after the picture Lee climbed up on the wing and stood in the center and jumped up and down getting air between his feet and the wing to show us how strong the wing is. Just a handful of years later he sold this car for $165,00.00 dollars. Yep!!! It was that nice.

OMG ! I guess it would have to be strong. . Heard some facts that these wings could withstand 500 mph down force from winds at sustained 200 mph speeds. Supposedly they did a lot of testing on these for NASCAR and the street versions of these cars had the same wings and braces as the stock cars. The funny tidbit about these winged cars is back when they were new dealerships could not give them away. The Plymouth dealer by us had two of these that were still there when the 71 cars were coming in. Because they were hard to figure out how to drive with the long nose and wing and they did not fit in garages and were not daily driver friendly nobody bought them. And muscle car guys did not like them because they were slower that non winged b body cars they did not do well. As rare as these cars are today they are not the most expensive Mopars. The e body 71 Hemi Cuda and Challenger convertibles rank the highest priced muscle cars.
