Hey gang. I know we have already started our 2018 model building year but I was looking over our list of themes and been thinking. One of our themes for a 3 month build is Box Stock where we would only use the pieces that come in a kit. While I myself think that is a good theme, I personally feel we do not need to dedicate 3 months for such a project. I have thought about swapping this out with a MOTM month long contest. What are your thoughts? I can direct swap with a current theme thus making the original MOTM theme the new 3 month theme, or I can create a new 3 month theme and wait for the box stock until next year's MOTM theme ideas. Or I can leave it as is written. What do you guys think?

Like I mentioned earlier I can swap one out of MOTM that we have not started yet. Or personally I would love to do an "engine swap" theme to see what the creative builders here can do.

So the only rule I had in mind was to build a car and have the engine powering it be one that was not available in that car. Examples are a Pinto with a big block v8 or a Jeep Wrangler with a turbo Buick v6. What do you guys think?

That sounds great, and maybe include a short paragraph explaining your swap with the finished build. I like it. And would we then be doing the stock build as a MOTM ?

I thought about swapping a month with this theme but now that I am thinking about it, I think we would disrupt the least if I save the box stock theme for next year. It would be one less theme to come up with

that sounds like a great idea. a little late to the party. sorry 'bout that. I am game for the engine swap 3 moth build also. have plenty of ideas for that one.
