Last year a small hobby shop that I got my parts from closed and forced me back to ebay to get parts for projects but it has been reopened in the same location which I am very happy about. I stopped by today and got three bags of AMT 40 Ford parts which I really needed,I forgot my reading glasses and would have got more if I could see better and need to go back to find more goodies.

We still have another mom and pop hobby shop but this one sells parts and built models plus unbuilt kits too,I was going to give up on restorations that had missing parts and projects started with just parts after he closed but now I can do those again.

Man! I wish there was a local shop near me where I could pick up parts kits! That would be AWESOME! I have a bad habit of "borrowing" parts from kits in my stash. Then when I get around to building the kit I took the parts from I have to find suitable replacements....sort of just shooting myself in the foot! I have bought several partial kits off ebay of the same kit just because I like a particular part in it, but that can get pretty expensive.

He was open for a year and the year he closed drove me nuts,I got used to just going a mile or so to get parts and did not have to pay high shipping costs. I will try to buy something each week to help him keep his doors open.
