CM: she's a monster! I love the diorama effect too. Did your accessories and camera man come pre-painted and decaled or did you do it from resin parts? It totally rocks and you deserve your accolades!
I just got my resin hood for the Nova and I'm having some issues with the 1st at priming. I did 2 days in Bleche White, scrub with toothbrush & soap, rinse and dry. It looked good at that point, so I did a light sand with 1000 and shot 1 prime coat. Got LOTS of pinholes and some crackled spackle effect. I've contacted the company on Ebay for advice. That's holding me up from shooting the color and drying for the clear. As soon as it's done we can build our 'vette.

CM: Is that engine from a donor kit? Same for the tubs/tranny tunnel. They are immaculate in detail. Any chance you'd help with where to get the Goodyear tire decals? I think I tried SLIXX and they only had 1/16. Your's is 1/25, right?

get mine from slixx they have 1/25 scale slixx.com also can get them from scalemodelingbychris but gotta cut them out...just not as good as slixx. Oh and yes everything was in the kit except for aftermarket fittings. I used that new Brite-touch paint if you can't find it I'll get ya some.

I love SLIXX - I was just getting ready to call Becky. I'm getting a little worried about SMBC. I got a recent order that included safety harnesses and they turned out to be printed on a fabric like paper. I knew that; however, the bright red on the webpage turned out to be an almost pink color with no instructions as to whether or not there was adhesive or not. I've emailed them twice and I'm waiting for the latest response. The order from 8/28 hasn't arrived and that's the one with wrinkle wall slicks and Goodyear decals. NOT HAPPY.
SLIXX rocks. Becky was back ordered on valve/NOS-safety and fire bottle decals, so she sent me a FREE sheet of those contingency decals! Now that I know she has 1/25 decals, I'll def. call. I believe I've conquered the resin monster by lots of filling the pin holes, waiting, sanding, priming, filling, sanding, etc. Got the bumpers glued on body and once everything is dry, I'll start color coats. It's too hot & steamy here in VA right now and the wife is beaching about the smell of indoor spraying, so I gotta wait until it cools off tomorrow!
