Looks like I am with the countless thousands of folks that have just gotten the hammer from Photobucket. Seems in order for me to post pics I have to cough up 400 bucks per year. Photobucket will bit allow free 3rd party hosting anymore. The only 3rd party hosting they have is this Photobucket 500 plan at 39.99 a month. So , until I figure out another way to post pictures there will be no more from me. I have hundreds of pictures on my phone but can't post them. Too bad there is not a way to do this. What other third party hosting is out There? I'm not paying 40 bucks a month to do this.

I have it, tried it but could not figure how to post from there. Looked for some way but found nothing. Camera roll, upload, share, etc. Did not see a way. After this weekend I will roll up my sleeves and get into it. Can't pay $39.99 A month for Photobucket. Saw a neat Flickr Android ap. I take my pictures on my phone and transfer them to the pc. Sure would save me a lot of time if I could load pictures from my phone. Thinking there will be some sort of hidden cost. Besides, I have tried to figure a way to load from my phone directly to the site but had no luck.

I have extended the deadline for this months contests till Tuesday. I am guessing I am in the same boat and will need to find something by Tuesday.

Silly question, can someone explain to me what is going on? I still can post . And I haven't had any contact from photobucket about paying money. Also has anyone used google photo ?

From my perspective I got no notice, no e mails, no advance warning of any kind. I had 25% of my storage space used. From what I read and heard they changed policy, created a new choice grouping for uploading pictures. There are three. First and second choices do not allow any 3rd party hosting, (even though you have to pay for these two choices). Only the 500 selection allows for 3rd party hosting. It's 400 bucks a year. That's the only one. This just happened. Mine happened right after I posted my Superbird. Then it was gone. No warning, no nothing except p bucket putting an icon where my picture was telling me I have to update. Upon reading down the long page I found the choices. I'm dropping p bucket. I don't care if they have a change of heart. In the next couple of days I will master Flickr, pay a small fee if I must and life goes on. There are going to be a lot of unhappy people that can't post pictures next week. Might consider a longer deadline as this thing might get worse in the coming days?

That's the same thing that happened to me just like Charley said , I logged in and there was a update notice that popped
up on top of page , after reading it it said the same thing and was dated June 28 2017 as the effective date of up grade
so now I have a Flickr account and bye-bye photobucket .

Beast, did you have an account you already paid some money on, like maybe ad free or sometting like that? If so from what i have read you wont get popped for the 400 a year until your billing comes up. Then all bets are off. Anybody that was using the site for free either has lost it shortly will lose the ability to post for free using p bucket. FLICKR appears to be free (for now) and is a bit loopy to work with but it's not 9th at bad and it works AND it's free!
