Started with a Lindberg Club Cab 4X4 Dakota. Shortened the chassis, shortened the interior bucket, cut the cab down to single cab, lowered the suspension by drilling new axle locator holes, and added some borrowed tires and wheels from a Revell Dodge Sidewinder custom Dakota truck. Two things, I busted the wheel back on one of the rear wheels. Looking for one of them from the sidewinder kit if anybody has one?? Also having trouble locating wheels that look like the ones on my real truck. The closest I have found is some Japanese maker selling Enkei RPF1 wheels but they are out of stock. A middle east guy makes them but they are photo 3D, fragile, too big in size and not cheap. Can anybody help? Paul has everything but I bet even he will have trouble finding them? Started with this, Cut the cab down to a single cab Cut the chassis and set the modified body on to see how it looked. Note the 4X4 tires, wheels, and height. Lowered the axles and put some temporary tires and wheels on the truck to check the height adjustment. These are the wheels on my 1 to 1 pickup I want to put on my model truck. These are the wheels I found. Had to add tires and cut them down as they were too wide. Had to have them sent from San Jose California. I had an easier time finding the tires and wheels for my real truck LOL.

Did a little bit of work today. Had to grind a bit off the outer edge of the wheels. The tires were off a bit when mounted and needed to seat better on the wheels. All them little pieces of plastic are cut to size Evergreen Plastic tube. The larger diameter black painted pieces fit perfect over the hub of the backs of the wheels. The next two sets above are each one size smaller than the other. Each fits inside the other. When they are all mounted and glued and dried I will have a solid hub that extends from the back of the wheel to the chassis so I can mount axles (pictured) to the chassis securing the wheels and tires. I had a couple of disc brake parts I modified and drilled out to slide over the black painted hubs. I shot some paint and detailed the brake calipers. The black pieces with the hole that slides over the rear black painted hubs are home made drums. I made them from Toothpaste caps. I sanded, cut and trimmed, and drilled them to fit. Seems like a lot of work but the wheels had no kind of mounting hub so I had to improvise. Maybe the home made brake drums and discs with calipers was a bit over the top but I think they will look pretty cool when everything gets put together tomorrow after the parts dry. Thanks for looking!

Thanks. My 1 to 1 truck is a single cab. Being as this kit is a curbside I put a little work onto the kit in other areas to make it different. Hope it will look good and like my truck when it's done?
