Hi Gang, well I have a question for somebody on here that might know how to do it. I have a 1/24th scale kit that nobody makes in 1/25th scale and hard to find in 1/24th scale also so how could I make a 1/25th scale out of in. I'm planning on having a 1/24th resin body and parts made up so I won't destroy the org. kit. I know their isn't much difference between them and I have both 1/24th and 1/25 rulers to use. Any body have an idea on where to start ??

Wow, that's quite an undertaking. I wouldn't know where to begin. Why do you need or want it in 1/25 ?

Wow, that's quite an undertaking. I wouldn't know where to begin. Why do you need or want it in 1/25 ? Mainly to see if it can be done and what all it would take to do it. I think if I start with the wheelbase length and with I might be able to get the rest figured out. When I get started I'll let you'll know. Sorry I haven't been on here lately, going through cemo for lung cancer and so far so good.

Best of luck with that chemo my friend, keep up the good fight! As for scaling down, I wouldn't know where to start. I mean, all of the components would have to be resized a small amount. I really don't know if there is that much difference between 1/24 and 1/25. Maybe I am overthinking it but I keep envisioning having to custom build all of the parts for it.

Glad the chemo is working, but I am sure that takes a toll on ya.
As far as scaling down, maybe if you reference your parts to other 1/25 kits, like hold the engine blocks side by side, bodies side by side, etc. Not of this kit you are doing, but of others that are the same car, and in both scales. I know Revell makes both a 1/24 and a 1/25 cuda, chargers, etc. if you had one of each of both those kits, and compared the parts to each other, maybe this would give you a way to measure just how much you would need to scale down the 1/24 parts to the kit you are working with.

Wow John, converting a 1/24 into a 1/25! open-mouth-smiley-emoticon If you can pull this off you can do ANYTHING! as jkflash said EVERYTHING would have to be shrunk down just a bit. Depending on the particular car you're buiding perhaps you could use a donor for the engine, chassis and suspension components, but what about the interior? Same as the body the seats, door panels dash would all have to be sectioned and shortened...If you're up to the task go for it! I'd love to see you pull it off! praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticonI think I would consider looking into 3-D printing it and having the parts scaled down the approprate amount in the process....just a thought. As far as the cancer and chemo I'll be prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon for you! Hang in there John!

Thanks for the prayers on the chemo guys, hasn't real bad just wiped out for three days after it.
What I'm mainly interested in is the body, hood, grille, bumpers and the dash. once I get them shrunk the rest is going to be scratch built anyway.
