A week or so ago I sent an e-mail to Revell in regards to a couple of inaccuracies in thier Fast and Furious 70 Charger kit. Ed Sexton replied to my email assuring me that the current kit is based on the movie car and next year a completely stock version would be released! I suspected that a stock version would be released but now it is confirmed! I truly do hope they upgrade the taillight panel to a 70 style which has the chrome strip around the tail lights connected in the middle . This is a very prominate detail that would be difficult to replicate.

Did they give you a time frame on the stock version? The reason I ask is that they told me earlier this year that they would be releasing an up to date full kit NASCAR Stock Car by the end of the year. I have not seen anything on that as of yet. Don't get me wrong I think Revell has the best model cars on the market but I do not trust what they say they are going to do. I want to see a 1970 stock version. I would also like to see them put out a 1971 charger. The AMT kit is ok but I feel Revell can do a better job at molding the kit. I have several 68's and two 69's and want to get every charger kit that Revell puts out. The Charger is my dream car!

I hear ya southern! Chargers are my favorite too!
Mr Sexton did not give me any time frame on the stock version and even if he would have delays are quite common. The F&F version already has beautifully engraved door panels and the correct bucket seats. All a stock Charger would need is an uncut hood, rear seat, correct taillight panel and either remove the R/T emblem from the grille or add the fake vent to the doors. Oh, and a stock set of rims! So I'm sure it's in the works as I was told. I only hope that they don't overlook that taillight panel!
As far as your stock car, If you were told its coming I'm sure it is. Just remember as I said before delays are quite common.

The stock 1970 Charger R/T should be out in a few weeks! I have preordered 2 kits and can hardly wait for them to arrive! In the mean time I have a Revell 69 Charger on the bench that I am building into a Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry Charger. Wish I could figure out this photo posting issue I'm having so I could post pictures...

I am a big Ford fan myself, and yet Dodge B bodies of all types are a favorite as well. The '68 and '70 Chargers are my favs in that line. I had been looking at my "Fast and Fuzziest" '70 kit and wondering how I could fill that hood, make door scoops, and get the R/T badging that I would need!?! So this release is very welcome to me!!!
Eagerly waiting, David S.
